Marvel Legends Guardians of the Galaxy Up for Pre-Order!

Considering what a complete and utter pain it’s been in 2014 to track down any Marvel Legends figures that aren’t characters named “Captain America” or “Spider-Man”, I’ve been half-dreading the eventual release of the Marvel Legends Guardians of the Galaxy figures. But no longer! Not only has the “official” street date for them been revealed, but all six Guardians of the Galaxy Marvel Legends figures (including Nova and Gamora) are now available individually for pre-order!

We’ve known the lineup of the Hasbro Guardians of the Galaxy Marvel Legends 6″ action figures assortment since the 2014 Toy Fair in February, and now we know the supposed “official” release date for the line–June 1, 2014! That’s not to say these won’t slip onto shelves before that street date (it certainly wouldn’t be the first time such a thing has happened), but that’s the target.

The Marvel Legends Guardians of the Galaxy Infinite Series consists of six figures that each include one or more Groot Build-A-Figure pieces for building the enormous 9″ Marvel Legends Groot figure. The figures include the Modern Nova Marvel Legends figure (above), as well as:

To the delight of Hasbro Marvel Legends 6″ collectors everywhere, the Guardians of the Galaxy Marvel Legends Infinite Series figures are now available for pre-order from Amazon for $21.99 each plus free shipping. Given that the MSRP on these figures is $19.99 and it’d cost me $21.59 after tax for each in my local stores–if I could find them all at once–I was happy to pre-order now and secure my figures without having to worry, drive around, or purchase an entire case.

What do you think, Marvel collectors? Are you up for completing your Marvel Legends GOTG series quickly and easily via pre-order, or are you going to wait and see if you can get a better deal once these figures are officially in stores?

Case and set pre-orders now on BBTS. Iron Man packed 2 per case, even though he’s not in the movie. Sigh.

I went the pre-order route, but for only two out of the six Raccoon and Nova. I’m happy to see Star-lord with his helmet/mask because if it wasn’t for that I would have almost written off the whole series, now I’m planning to get them all eventually for Groot.I have been able to find most of the Legends pretty easily when they first come out in my area.

Although on the last Captain America wave I almost missed out on them had I not made it to the store when I did because literally a minute later I saw a guy clearing the shelves and dumping everything into a big bag, not even looking what he was getting just shoveling everything in.

Here in Australia, we didn’t get the Marvel Legends GOTG wave! As a collector, I’m friggin’ angry! Why weren’t they made available here in Australia???? It’s an insult from Hasbro to Australian collectors!
