Whenever I mention Gwenpool, I tend to preface it with “I don’t really like this character”. And so, I don’t think anyone will be gobsmacked to hear that my anticipation for her first 6″ figure wasn’t quite off-the-charts. Diamond Select Toys had a pretty substantial showing of upcoming Marvel statues at New York Toy Fair 2017, but believe it or not, we’ve already seen over a half-dozen more new pieces not shown at Toy Fair revealed and solicited just this month! The latest addition is a completely unexpected one: a 1:2 Scale Deadpool Bust! And half-scale Wade has a solicitation buddy—the Marvel Gallery Wolverine PVC Statue is also up for order!

Dipping back into my bag of hi-res photos that I took at New York Toy Fair 2018 last month, today I’m taking a look at the first-ever Hasbro Marvel Legends Venom series of 6” figures! While Hasbro didn’t show the entire series at Toy Fair, they did unveil three new figures to complement the previously-revealed Venom and Carnage: Spider-Ham, Scream and a Poison! When Hot Toys first debuted their prototype of the Thor Ragnarok Hot Toys Loki sixth scale figure at San Diego Comic Con 2017, collectors weren’t exactly delighted to see Loki in the unfamiliar Sakaar blue costume. When the Avengers Age of Ultron movie hit theaters, Hasbro had a bit of a missed opportunity with the Marvel Legends Ultron Build-A-Figure not hitting stores until months after the movie. Hasbro won’t be making the same mistake again, however, as the main Infinity War antagonist is available right out of the gate! The Avengers Infinity War wave of toys and collectibles has been washing over us for the past week, but one aspect of collecting for the movie I haven’t talked about yet is Infinity War statues. But now, a new player is entering the Avengers 3 game domestically: the Bandai SH Figuarts Infinity War figures are now available for order in the U.S.!
