Nobody–and I mean nobody–has more San Diego Comic-Con 2015 exclusives than Funko! But fear not, fans who aren’t attending SDCC 2015 and those who are but don’t want to brave the Funko line! Most of the exclusives are actually available online already in limited quantities at the same cost as at the show through various retailers already! And luckily, one of those exclusives is among my favorites for the event: the SDCC Funko POP Vinyls Emoticon Chested Baymax is now up for order!

We’re now under a month until the arrival of the Ant-Man movie in theaters, and that means that the modest onslaught of Ant-Man merch is now beginning to pour into stores! Toys R Us stores decided to break street date and release the Marvel Legends Ant-Man Series into stores earlier this month, and the Funko POP Vinyls Ant-Man and Yellowjacket figures have also begun to hit retail. And now, what may be the coolest of the Ant-Man Funko products is arriving as well–the Hot Topic exclusive Funko Glow-in-the-Dark Ant-Man POP Vinyl is available online and in some stores!
Continue Reading →While they were super-light on Marvel exclusives at SDCC 2014, Funko is clearly aiming to beat every other licensee in sheer quantity of exclusive Marvel toys at SDCC 2015! Thus far, they’ve announced the X-Force Deadpool Chimichanga Truck, a super-lame unmasked Baymax POP Vinyl, and a not-quite-“limited” Cosmic Powers Deadpool Hikari. And now? Funko has revealed a Marvel POP! that everyone is gonna want: it’s the Funko POP Vinyls Ant-Man Black Out figure, featuring the Hank Pym Ant-Man costume!
Continue Reading →Considering that I like the Funko Marvel Hikari vinyls more than just about any other Marvel toys on the market this year, you would think I’d be overjoyed about the first officially-announced SDCC 2015 Marvel Funko Hikari. But due to a combination of expense fatigue and a shockingly high edition size, I’m just not all that psyched about the SDCC Exclusive Funko Cosmic Powers Deadpool Hikari figure…
Continue Reading →With under a month to go until the biggest comic convention of 2015 (that isn’t New York Comic Con 2015), the Marvel exclusives are finally being revealed fast and furiously! I don’t think anyone really believed that there would only be one SDCC 2015 exclusive Funko Marvel POP Vinyl, and sure enough, there are more! But the one Funko has now announced is one I probably should have been expecting, but was not: the SDCC Funko X-Force Deadpool Chimichanga Truck POP Rides set!
Continue Reading →If there’s one Marvel Cinematic Universe property that merchandisers were more skeptical of this year than Ant-Man, it’s Agent Carter. Even so, the series has earned a strong fan base and been renewed for a second season. As such, I was wondering when a toy company would get around to making an Agent Carter toy, and now we have our non-surprising answer: the Funko Agent Carter POP Vinyls figure is now up for order!
Continue Reading →Time has really flown by, but as hard as it is to believe (and I checked my calendar just to be certain), we are now just a month and a half away from San Diego Comic Con 2015! That means that it’s long past time that the Marvel SDCC 2015 exclusives start making themselves known–and in the past few days, they’ve done just that! And what better place to begin than with an exclusive from the King of Exclusives: Funko! And congrats to non-attendees, because you can order this one from home: the Funko SDCC 2015 Exclusive Flocked Ravagers Rocket Raccoon POP Vinyl is now up for order!
Continue Reading →I’m pretty sure that at this point, Funko is releasing enough new vinyl figures for every collector to buy one each day of the year (money willing). And while the majority of those releases are still general, mass-release items, there’s plenty of exclusives to go around! Though Amazon didn’t get their own exclusive for Avengers Age of Ultron, they did have exclusives for Guardians of the Galaxy and Big Hero 6. And now, the tradition continues with another sure-to-be fast-sellout: the exclusive Funko Glow in the Dark Yellowjacket POP Vinyls figure is now up for order!
Continue Reading →Remember that Marvel Comics crossover from a few years ago called “Siege”, where the Sentry rips Ares in half? Well, I’m picturing that scene as Funko continues their siege on my wallet, ripping my bank account in half with a parade of can’t-skip collectibles. Funko Hikari are my Kryptonite, and another pair have now been announced: the Funko Hikari Blue Deadpool and regular Hulk figures are now up for order! And with discounts, you can get them for almost half price! Read on…

Whether it be statues, action figures or food (the most insidious limited item of them all), attaching the word “limited” instantly make something more desirable. And as usual, Funko is ready to capitalize on this phenomenon. Coming soon to Hot Topic stores–numbered, limited edition Marvel Funko POP Vinyl T-Shirts!
Continue Reading →Ever since I saw them at the Funko booth at the New York Toy Fair 2015 back in February, visions of Vinyl Sugar Dorbz figures have danced in my head. I got my grubby hands on the debut figure in the first Marvel Collector Corps box, but today I received what I was really waiting for–my Guardians of the Galaxy Dorbz arrived from Entertainment Earth! And now that I’ve had a chance to photograph and play with them all, I can confidently say that they are every bit as a-DORBZ-able as I expected…
Continue Reading →I have a big problem with Marvel vinyl figures. And the problem is that I can’t stop buying them. It used to be that relatively few vinyl Marvel figures got released each year–but with Funko’s explosion in popularity, the number of Marvel vinyls being released is at an all-time high. At some point I’m going to have to draw the line somewhat (for space purposes if not monetary ones)–but it doesn’t look like I’ll be able to kick the addiction anytime soon! The Marvel Dorbz Series 1 figures are now up for order, and spoilers–they are a-DORBZ-able!
Continue Reading →Although the marketing for Avengers: Agenof Ultron was so huge that we were already being inundated with prototypes for upcoming collectibles, the toys and collectibles blitz for Ant-Man has been a lot more… well, microscopic.
But now that we’re just a minuscule two months away from the Ant-Man movie, the figures are finally coming out of the woodwork (just like ants!): the Funko POP Vinyls Ant-Man and Yellowjacket are now up for order!
Continue Reading →Ororo Monroe–Storm–has been the subject of some of the longest-running debates in X-Men history. “Who is the most famous X-Woman: Storm or Jean Grey?” “Who is Storm’s OTP: Forge, Black Panther, or Wolverine?” “Who is the greatest leader of the X-Men: Storm or Cyclops?” And perhaps the biggest question of them all: “Which is Storm’s most iconic costume: black or white?” While Funko initially sided with Team White Costume, there’s hope for the other camp: the Hot Topic Exclusive Funko Black Costume Storm has now turned up for sale online and in some Hot Topic stores!
Continue Reading →Of all the various toy lines that I cover on Marvel Toy News, the one that tends to be the most difficult is the Funko Hikari Marvel vinyls. See, Funko tends to announce its new Hikaris like clockwork every Friday–but there’s no warning when a new Marvel one will be revealed, and when one is, it’s typically sold out within hours. Such is the case with the two latest additions: Funko Hikari X-Force Deadpool and Inferno Iron Man!
