Prices for those figures long ago went wild on the aftermarket, and many fans were left without perhaps the most iconic Marvel female villain of all in their collections. Spiral is one of those characters I could have happily gone my whole life without buying an action figure of… if she hadn’t been a playable character in the Marvel vs. Capcom video game series. Playing a few minutes of her as a mediocre character there did what decades of comic book appearances as Mojo’s lackey did not, and I knew I’d eventually indulge in a toy of her. I missed the first Target exclusive version 16 years ago, but the six-armed sorceress is back again as part of this year’s X-Men Marvel Legends Retro series! The 2023 Marvel Legends Spiral figure is shipping now—should you scoop her up in all her many-limbed glory?

REVIEW: 2022 Marvel Legends Spider-Armor Spider-Man Retro Figure

You just know it’s a true golden age of Marvel action figures when Hasbro feels confident enough to bring out a new version of one of Toybiz’s biggest duds of all-time. The Spider-Man The Animated Series Spider-Armor figure languished unloved on store shelves for years and years in the 90s, which is likely why it’s never been upgraded to a 6” figure. But the time has come to see the Spider-Armor Mark I available again, and the retro 90s Toybiz packaging definitely feels apropos in this instance. this is probably the only Marvel Legends Spider-Armor Mark I figure ever to be available—is it worth getting?
