If some hoodlum ever stopped me on the street and demanded at gunpoint to know what my favorite line was that I saw among the hundreds of new toys at the 2015 Toy Fair in February, I’d be able to answer without much thought all all: Funko Hikari. And while most of the Hikari at the show that caught my eye were Star Wars-themed, a whole assortment of Hulks debuted there as well. And the time for the first Hulk has now come–the exclusive Funko Hikari Metallic Hulk is now up for order!

The Cavalry has arrived!! Heading into New York Toy Fair 2015 this weekend, I didn’t have a lot of hope for seeing many new Marvel POP! Vinyls, as Funko just revealed eight Funko Avengers Age of Ultron POP Vinyls last month. And on my first visit to the Funko booth at NY Toy Fair 2015, the only new item I saw was the Deadpool Chimichanga Truck. But once I flipped through the catalog at my hotel, I realized one more new Marvel POP! was at the show: the Funko Melinda May from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.!

The king of exclusive figures is at it once again! This week, photos leaked out of the Phillipines of a variety of announced–and unannounced–exclusive Funko POP Vinyls figures scheduled to be released this spring. Some of these are figures that we had heard rumors of, and some of them are totally unexpected. But on the Marvel side of things, we’re now able to see three exclusive variant Funko Marvel POP Vinyl figures for the first time: Black Costume Storm, Unmasked Cyclops and Captain America Unmasked!

While Funko has traditionally kept their comic book movie lines of POP Vinyl figures reasonably small, after the runaway success of last year’s Guardians of the Galaxy POP! Vinyls, Funko has started to think big! As such, even though the movie isn’t even out yet, Funko already has twelve Avengers Age of Ultron POP Vinyls figures either already in stores or on the way! Three of those figures are exclusive variants, and while the first exclusive I picked up is the Funko Gamma Glow Hulk POP Vinyl, I unfortunately can’t exactly give him a glowing review…

As it turns out, there really are six core members of the Avengers team in Avengers: Age of Ultron. When toy companies started unveiling their Avengers Age of Ultron toys and there were few Black Widow figures to be found, there was an outcry for more Black Widow merch. Well, Hasbro announced a new Marvel Legends Black Widow and the Marvel Select Black Widow figure debuted at the 2015 New York Toy Fair, and that left only one gaping omission… which has now been filled. Coming May 2015–the Avengers Age of Ultron Funko Black Widow POP Vinyls figure is now up for order!

All good things must come to an end, and I’ll be wrapping up the Marvel toys portion of my New York Toy Fair 2015 coverage over the next day or two. But before the end comes, there’s a few more things I want to talk about from the show. Earlier this week I posted my impressions of the nearly two-dozen Vinyl Sugar Dorbz Marvel figures, but Funko brought along a far smaller assortment of a larger and way more expensive line from the new brand as well: the Vinyl Sugar Super Deluxe Deadpool, Groot and Rocket Raccoon figures!

As we counted down the days to New York Toy Fair 2015, Funko started posting mysterious teaser images for Marvel vinyls labeled as “Vinyl Sugar Dorbz”. I had a hunch regarding exactly what this new imprint was, and at the 2015 Toy Fair Funko confirmed my suspicions.

A new line of 3″ vinyl Marvel figures is coming this year–and it’s kicking off with twenty-three 3″ Vinyl Sugar Dorbz Marvel and Guardians of the Galaxy figures and two XL Dorbz!

Among the eleven-billion new products that Funko brought to show off at New York Toy Fair 2015, there was one line that came as a real surprise to me. While Funko has gotten into the plush figure business before with their Funko Fabrikations soft sculptures, I don’t recall Funko ever doing stylized, angry stuffed toys before–and certainly not Marvel ones. But there’s a first time for everything, and at New York Toy Fair 2015, we got our first look at the Funko Marvel Mopeez plush toys that are now up for order!

Even so, my mind was still having a hard time grasping the concept of this vehicle–right up until I walked into the New York Comic Con 2015 Funko booth, where I was finally able to grasp the hilarity of this new Funko Deadpool toy…

I have developed a new Marvel collecting problem over the last year, and that problem is called Funko Hikari. See, Funko charges $80 each for their Hikari Sofubi vinyls; Hikaris take up a ton of space, and Funko releases a half-dozen colorways of every mold. And I’ve bought all the Marvel ones so far. All of them. So at New York Toy Fair 2015, my heart soared–and my wallet cried–when the Funko Hikari Hulk and Iron Man figures were revealed!
