The once-unthinkable happened last week, when longtime niche “B-List” fan-favorite character Moon Knight became a household name to millions and millions of Disney+ viewers who had never been exposed to the character previously. And a new boost in notoriety also means new merch! Hasbro, Diamond Select Toys, Funko, Hot Toys and more are all answering the call with newly-revealed Moon Knight figures, including Marvel Legends, Marvel Select and even POP Vinyls!

While fans may have reasonably hoped for an MCU Ancient One or even Kaecillius as the fourth movie character in this year’s Marvel Legends Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness series, Hasbro decided to go wild and crazy instead with a character new to the MCU in Doctor Strange 2: the headliner Rintrah Build-A-Figure that collectors will have to build the rest of the series to assemble! Is this fuzzy green minotaur-looking sorcerer worth your effort and investment to put together?
Continue Reading →The 2022 Marvel Legends Spider-Man Retro Collection is chock full of “ultimate”, definitive-level 6” action figures. The subject of today’s review is not one of those figures, in my opinion. While there’s always plenty of fans excited and happy to buy a new Marvel Legends Hobgoblin figure, I’m not convinced that this 90s Spider-Man animated style Hobgoblin figure is hardly an upgrade over what we’ve seen previously at all…
Continue Reading →You just know it’s a true golden age of Marvel action figures when Hasbro feels confident enough to bring out a new version of one of Toybiz’s biggest duds of all-time. The Spider-Man The Animated Series Spider-Armor figure languished unloved on store shelves for years and years in the 90s, which is likely why it’s never been upgraded to a 6” figure. But the time has come to see the Spider-Armor Mark I available again, and the retro 90s Toybiz packaging definitely feels apropos in this instance. this is probably the only Marvel Legends Spider-Armor Mark I figure ever to be available—is it worth getting? Here’s my review…
Continue Reading →From Siryn to Speedball, Hasbro is rolling out a multitude of never-before-done characters as part of their 2022 Marvel Legends figures lineup. And the latest 90s niche favorite to get the spotlight is the subject of today’s review: Marvel Legends Sleepwalker! He’s in-stock now on Amazon for MSRP and not nearly as Z-List as Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness wave-mate D’Spayre—should you let this comics-based Sleepwalker figure haunt your waking hours?
Continue Reading →Hawkeye doesn’t seem to have had nearly the same level of success and mainstream permeation as the other Disney+ Marvel series. I’ve never seen a singular meme or had any friend say a peep to me about the show, unlike even What If? Nor have there been any Hawkeye toys on store shelves just yet. But the Disney+ Hawkeye merch universe is getting a big boost of notoriety today, as the Marvel Legends Hawkeye Kate Bishop and Clint Barton figures are now up for order from the Infinity Ultron Build-A-Figure series!
Continue Reading →It’s fitting that in the year that will include the half-century anniversary of his first appearance, Hammerhead will at long last be having his first mass-release action figure on retail store shelves as well. He may look like a generic gangster with a bad haircut, but Hammerhead has appeared in numerous forms of media over the years and is among the most prolific Spidey villains still needing a Hasbro figure. Now that the Marvel Legends Hammerhead Spider-Man Retro Series figure is available and shipping out, should you let this mobster lay claim to your 22 dollars?
Continue Reading →Marvel Legends fans may not have gotten to see the 20th Anniversary ML Toad figure everyone is waiting for during this week’s Fan First livestream—but they did get the reveal of a previously-teased and much-demanded revisit of another villain: the single-carded Marvel Legends Rhino Retro Spider-Man figure is now up for order! If you own the original Rhino BAF, is this release skippable or a worthwhile upgrade?
Continue Reading →Not every supervillain Stan Lee and Jack Kirby created went on to become a mass merchandising juggernaut and household name. Some just became classic characters who show up every now and again in minor comic book appearances and have merely mild fandoms. Such is the case with the subject of today’s Marvel Legends review: Psycho-Man was one of the better Toybiz 5” Fantastic Four figures back in the day—can the Hasbro Marvel Legends Psycho-Man Fantastic Four Retro 6” figure top it?
Continue Reading →When it comes to Doctor Strange merch, astral form repaints of the good doctor are cheap, easy-to-create, and justifiable repaints—which is why we have numerous of them from Hasbro, Diamond Select Toys, Funko and more. So it was not exactly an eyebrow-raiser when Hasbro debuted the new Marvel Legends Doctor Strange Astral figure in the Multiverse of Madness movie Rintrah Series. Does this figure improve over the original iteration released six years back? Here’s my review…
Continue Reading →most years, I can count on no fingers the number of times I have to resort to Google to research the backstory on a Marvel character Hasbro releases. 2022 isn’t going to be one of those years! Hasbro is kicking off the year with a truly DEEP cut—the Doctor Strange Marvel Legends D’Spayre figure is now beginning to ship! But just who is this dude, and is his first 6” action figure ever worth your 20+ bucks? Here’s my review…
Continue Reading →cancellation of New York Toy Fair 2021 took the whole collecting world by surprise, and is the likely cause of the recent dearth of new Marvel toy news and announcements. But Hasbro is coming to the rescue today with a bevy of new X-Men Legends figures going up for order that we’ve been waiting for the chance to buy since late last year: the 2022 Marvel Legends X-Men Bonebreaker Series is finally up for order!

As a 13-year-old boy in 1995, the very notion of Magneto himself serving as the founder and leader of the X-Men—even in an alternate reality—completely blew my mind. X-Men Age of Apocalypse served as my favorite comic book storyline ever for over 20 years, and while AOA Magneto was never my favorite character from the story, I still happily gobbled up the 5” Toybiz AOA Magneto figure and its repaint. But 26 years later, I was ready for an upgrade, and Hasbro has delivered: the Marvel Legends Age of Apocalypse Magneto figure is now available! Is it a worthy successor to Toybiz’s version two and a half decades later?
Continue Reading →If anyIf anyone had told me a year ago that my last review of 2021 would be me reviewing a Marvel Legends Armadillo Build-A-Figure semi-blind, I’d have thought they were crazy on all fronts. But here we are, so let’s begin. Collectors will need to buy almost the entire Marvel Legends Spider-Man No Way Home figures series of 6″ figures to get all the pieces for the ML Armadillo BAF. Is it worth the expense to build this relatively obscure pro wrestling supervillain?
Continue Reading →brought their A-game for the final Hasbro Pulse Marvel stream of the year, debuting far more than just the Doctor Strange Multiverse of Madness wave during the event. Not only did Hasbro reveal and open pre-orders for the exclusive Marvel Legends 20th Anniversary Hulk figure (no Toad just yet, sadly), but they also surprise-debuted all eight figures in the X-Men Legends 2022 series as well—including Siryn, First Appearance Sabretooth, the Bonebreaker Build-A-Figure and more!
