Posted on by July 19, 2024
Marvel Legends Phoenix & Magik 2024 Hasbro Figures

It’s been a pretty good year for the Phoenix entity, first getting an origin in the X-Men comics and then the first-ever ongoing Phoenix ongoing comic book series launching this week. But that’s not the only Jean Grey milestone this week! For the first time in many years, Hasbro has a new (not Dark) Marvel Legends Phoenix figure up for order—and it’s a deluxe release with a huge fiery Phoenix Force entity effect base! It’s a bit on the pricey side, but there’s no denying how lovely it is! Will this be flying into your display, Marvel collectors? (Plus: the Demon Sorceress Magik teleports in for a return of her own!)

REVIEW: Marvel Legends Astonishing X-Men Wolverine Figure (85th Anniversary)

Posted on by July 15, 2024
Marvel Legends Size Scale Comparison Astonishing Wolverine and Cyclops

There’s no doubt that Joss Whedon’s Astonishing X-Men comic books run was a watershed moment for the merry mutants, and John Cassaday’s costume designs for the x-Men have had enduring popularity as a result. So even though Toybiz released a very nice Astonishing Wolverine in 2005, it’s no shocker to see Hasbro upgrading that iteration of Logan in the 85th Anniversary Marvel Legends series during Wolverine’s own 50th anniversary. The 2024 Marvel Legends Astonishing X-Men Wolverine figure is starting to ship now—is this the ultimate release of this version?

Marvel Legends Cable REVIEW (2024 Zabu Build-A-Figure Series)

Posted on by June 14, 2024
Marvel Legends Cable 2024 Figure in 90s Marvel vs Capcom 2 Costume

Cable has had his fair share of Hasbro action figures, though still far less than the copious amount that Toybiz put out. Even so, it’s been over half a decade now since the last comics-based Cable Legends figure was released and demand for the popular character has grown quite high! And so, Nathan Christopher Charles Dayspring Askani’son Summers is finally returning to stores this summer as a headliner in the Marvel Legends Zabu Series. Is Hasbro’s latest Marvel Legends Cable figure their best? Here’s my review…

REVIEW: Marvel Legends WOLFSBANE Figure (2024 Zabu BAF Series)

REVIEW Marvel Legends Wolfsbane Hasbro 6" Figure

“Slow and steady” wins the race, but I think it’s also an apt descriptor for how Hasbro has team built the Peter David 90s X-Factor team in 6” Marvel Legends form. It’s been 6 years since Marvel Legends Multiple Man kicked off this iteration of X-Factor in the Apocalypse Build-A-Figure Series, but Rahne Sinclair has at last arrived to complete the team. The just-released Marvel Legends Wolfsbane figure has just started shipping as part of the mixed characters Zabu BAF wave—should you snag this long-awaited Scottish werewolf to your collection? Here’s my review…

Hasbro brought their A-game to this week’s new Hasbro Pulse Marvel Legends stream of figure reveals, but the most immediate ones were for figures semi-confirmed by leaked prototypes that surfaced over the last few weeks. There was quite a bit of buzz surrounding those leaks, but now fans can lock in their reservations and pine away for the actual products: Marvel Legends Superior Spider-Man and Astonishing X-Men Wolverine are now up for order!

REVIEW: X-Men 97 JEAN GREY Marvel Legends Figure

Posted on by April 12, 2024
X-Men Legends 97 Wave 2 Cyclops and Jean Grey Action Figures

X-Men ‘97 is a smash hit, and Hasbro’s excellent tie-in toy line is enjoying massive success as well. As such, I’m continuing along with my series of 6” Marvel legends X-Men 97 figures with a key member of the team. We’ve had several previous Hasbro action figures of her in 90s Jim Lee costume, but is the new X-Men 97 Legends Jean Grey figure the definitive version of the character?

REVIEW: Marvel Legends X-Men 97 CYCLOPS Figure (Hasbro Wave 2)

Angry Head Optic Blast Cyclops X-Men 97 Hasbro Action Figure

Way back in my 2017 review, I thought the X-Men Legends Cyclops figure in the Warlock Series was acceptable, despite its flaws, because we were in the middle of a Jim Lee Cyclops famine. In 2024, not so much. We’ve seen numerous representations of Cyke in this costume in the interim, but as far as Hasbro 6” figures go, the newly-released X-Men 97 Marvel Legends Cyclops easily takes the crown as the best Jim Lee Cyclops figure ever made…

X-Men 97 ,arvel Legends Goblin Queen vs Jean Grey Hasbro 6" Figures

In a world where we have Hasbro X-Men Legends figures of Pretty Boy, Vertigo and Skullbuster, it’s really quite astonishing that one the greatest female X-villains of all time has never had a toy… until now. After fans’ hopes were dashed by the failed Ghost Rider Haslab, Cyclops’ first wife is finally here: the X-Men 97 Wave 2 Marvel Legends Goblin Queen Madelyne Pryor figure is now starting to arrive!

Review Marvel Legends X-Men 97 X-Cutioner Figure

When you’re bringing a toy of a relativrly unknown character to retail stores, said toy needs to be really cool to earn buys and avoid rotting off the shelves (or worse, ending up at Ollie’s). Hasbro delivered such a figure with Crystar earlier this year, and (spoilers for the rest of this review) they do so again with this terrific X-Men 97 Marvel Legends X-Cutioner figure that’s shipping out this month as part of wave 2 of the line. Here’s my review…

Sideshow Spider-Man and Dazzler Premium Format Figures
