I can be a pretty jaded toy collector these days, what with the state of the action figure aisle paling in comparison to the days of yesteryear and once-legendary franchises like Star Wars and G.I. Joe on the rocks. Thankfully, there are still some mornings that make it all worthwhile when I can wake up, turn on my phone, and have my eyes bulge out and my jaw drop past its limits. This was one of those mornings. To my complete and utter amazement (and likely the amazement of the entire collecting world), Hot Toys unveiled their GI-freaking-GANTIC 1/6 Amazing Spider-Man 2 Hot Toys Rhino figure today!

With the plethora of Captain America: The Winter Soldier Hot Toys figures that have gone up for order over the past month, you’d be totally forgiven if you forgot Amazing Spider-Man 2 Hot Toys figures would be on the way as well (I sure did). But we’re just over two weeks away from the Amazing Spider-Man 2 movie release date of May 2, 2014, and Hot Toys has deigned that it’s time to get things started!
