While the biggest news this past week was Hasbro’s reveal of the final figure in the Captain Marvel Legends Series and the packaging for the wave, there were a couple other items of interest I want to backtrack and talk about. And one of them is the latest exclusive addition to the Mezco ONE:12 Collective Marvel 6” figure line: The ONE:12 Collective Cable X-Men variant is now up for order! (You didn’t think Mezco Toyz would let the chance for a popular X-Men costume variant get away, did you?)

UPDATE 12/4/2018: This box set has been so popular that I wasn’t sure at all that this kind of sale would ever actually come, but the Deal of the Day that Sentinel army-builders have been dreaming of has finally arrived–today only, the Marvel Legends Sentinel and Days of Future Past Wolverine set is 42% Off! At this kind of discount, I’ve got a hunch this may be the day this set sells out for good! If you want this set–now is the time!

But fear not, Illyana fans–you shan’t have to walk past the Walgreens cashier empty-handed anymore: the Exclusive Marvel Legends Magik figure is finally up for order online!
Continue Reading →With no more major toy conventions in 2018 and the Black Panther Legends M’Baku Series at least a month away from shipping out (and very possibly being held for a January 1st, 2019 release date), we’re likely going to be going through a bit of a Marvel Legends news dry spell once again for the rest of the year. Which means it’s time to dig into the big cache of unreviewed figures once again! Last time, I talked about one of the best Build-A-Figures ever in Sauron, and this time, let’s look at one of the Deadpool Wave 2 figures you need to buy to build him: Marvel Legends Bishop!
Continue Reading →Hasbro and Kaiyodo have been playing a little game of one-upmanship with the X-Men over the last year, with both companies releasing competing 6” Psylocke and yellow Wolverine figures in rapid succession to each other. And now, that trend is continuing with a release that I think may put all of the previous Revoltech Marvel figures to shame. Hot on the heels of the Hasbro Marvel Legends Gambit being announced, the Kaiyodo Revoltech Gambit is now up for order—and it just may be the single coolest piece of Gambit merch ever!
Continue Reading →After a long string of announcements and reveals at various cons spread across Europe and North America, we finally know every figure that’s part of what’s traditionally the most popular wave of the year: X-Men Legends! While buzz surrounding the Caliban Build-A-Figure isn’t exactly setting the world on fire, some of the characters in this series are ones fans have been demanding for the last decade and a half (or longer): new Marvel Legends Beast, Gambit and Jim Lee Jubilee figures!
Continue Reading →Last weekend was a good one for Marvel Legends fans, with six new figures debuting at two different cons! And it’s not over yet, with a few more 2019 figures to be officially revealed at Lucca Comics & Games convention this week! But while we wait, it’s time for me to dig back into my deep cache of this year’s Hasbro figures that I haven’t reviewed yet, and today I’m reviewing one of the biggest (literally and metaphorically speaking) figures of the year: the Marvel Legends Sauron Build-A-Figure is selling for $60+ on the aftermarket–is he worth it?
Continue Reading →This is a unique, landmark weekend for Hasbro, because for the very first time ever, they’re unveiling new 2019 Marvel Legends figures at two major international conventions in separate countries in Europe! At Comic Con Paris, we got our first gander at the new Grey Gargoyle and Loki figures. And now, at MCM London, the final figures have been revealed for the first Spider-Man and X-Men waves of 2019: Six-Armed Spider-Man, Puma… and Jim Lee Beast!
Continue Reading →When it comes to Cyclops costumes, I’m a Jim Lee guy all the way. So even though it was inevitable that we’d get a variant of him from Mezco Toyz, they were going to have to really do something special to get another purchase from me. And dangit—I think they’ve done just that! Basically everything I wanted that was missing from the Jim Lee Version is all present and accounted for with the new PX Exclusive ONE:12 Collective Classic Cyclops figure that’s now up for PO!
Continue Reading →Erick Sosa has sculpted some of Kotobukiya’s most legendary pieces over the past half decade-plus, including the ultra-popular X-Men Danger Room Sessions series of resin statues and the grail-like Spider-Man and Venom Fine Arts statues. But last month, an era came to an end when Sosa announced he was leaving Koto. Even so, there was still one final Sosa statue stuck in the pipeline, and though it no-showed NYCC 2018, it’s officially confirmed to be coming our way: the Kotobukiya Weapon X Wolverine Fine Arts statue is now up for order!
Continue Reading →Believe it or not, even after discussing the waterfall of new product solicitations from Diamond Select Toys last week, there’s still more upcoming DST Marvel statues left to discuss! Along with displaying their huge Marvel Milestones Thanos and Thor statues that are already up for order, Diamond Select also displayed all-new statues of Kitty Pryde, Ghost Rider and the Punisher at New York Comic Con 2018!
Continue Reading →Kotobukiya is one of my favorite companies to visit every time I’m in New York City for a major toy event, as they’ve always got at least something new for Marvel collectors to ogle at. And New York Comic Con 2018 was no exception! While the Weapon X statue I was hoping to see in-person wasn’t present, Koto unveiled their upcoming Vision and Thanos ARTFX+ statues, reveal their next Marvel Bishoujo Statue, and had a killer X-Men Animated figure diorama set up…
Continue Reading →I’m ready to move on to taking about other companies’ showings from New York Comic Con 2018, which means it’s time to finish up my Hasbro Marvel Legends 2019 coverage. There were three more new ML 6” figures announced at the event, with one having been all but confirmed months ago and the other two are a complete surprise. Coming our way next year: Marvel Legends Beta Ray Bill, Forge and the… Caliban Build-A-Figure?!
Continue Reading →Hasbro had plenty of major reveals at their New York Comic Con 2018 Press Event yesterday, but the one that just about brought me to tears is one that was actually revealed on a Marvel livestream: at long last, the first-ever 90s Jim Lee Marvel Legends Jubilee Figure is coming our way next year! And oh yeah—looks like it’s time to start a new team, as Night Thrasher is on the way as well…
Continue Reading →2018 has been a banner year for Sideshow X-Men statues, and it appears that the likely final X-Men Premium Format Figure pre-order of the year is also the one with arguably the most hype around it. Following the popular Mystique, Emma Frost, Rogue and Psylocke POs, the last of this year’s X-Women is officially on the way: the Sideshow Exclusive X-23 Premium Format Statue goes up for pre-order Thursday afternoon! And if you want her awesome masked head, you’re gonna need the EX…
