Cases of the series have hit the shores, revealing the exact contents of the cases (variants and all), and I can even do a little dance of joy myself, as I got the notice that my pre-ordered Marvel Legends Wave 5 case from BigBadToyStore shipped out this afternoon! Iron Man Marvel Legends Series 3 in Fall 2013 – Mandarin, Pepper!

Though the “Iron Man 3” movie wasn’t quite the most well-loved Marvel Studios movie to date (except to me–I loved it more than any other Marvel movie, bar “Avengers), Hasbro is moving forward with a third series of Iron Man Marvel Legends in Fall 2013 regardless. This is going to be a rather controversial wave, however, as it contains an armor not seen in “Iron Man 3”, a villain (of a sort) who’s the subject of more hatred toward Marvel Studios than any other character ever from the movies, and a character who’s not (exactly) in the movies at all…

UPDATE: Hasbro has confirmed via photos that the Pepper Potts Rescue figure can wear her helmet. Photo added to the article–she looks great!

If you’re like me, you were probably expecting that Hasbro would hang onto the secret of their next series of Marvel Legends until their panel later in the show, but nope! Front and center, on display behind glass for Preview Night of SDCC 2013, it’s this fall’s upcoming 2013 Marvel Legends Series 3 (Wave 6) series, featuring Agent Venom, Jubilee and more!

After the unexpected announcement of the SDCC 2013 Thunderbolts Marvel Legends box set exclusives, I sort of doubted I’d be hearing anything else about Marvel’s Thunderbolts any time soon. Turns out I was mistaken, though, as the very next Hasbro 6″ Marvel Legends 2013 figure to be revealed appears to be another Thunderbolts figure–but from a different iteration of the Thunderbolts entirely. To the surprise of absolutely everyone, it’s… a Marvel Legends Thunderbolts Punisher Variant…?!

The newest Iron Man 3 Marvel Legends figure to have leaked photos show up online: a gold Ultron variant of the silver Ultron from Iron Man Legends Series 2! People were really excited for the standard new Ultron figure in that series, so everybody is super excited about this new gold version of Ultron as well… right?

Ever since Hasbro Marvel Legends Series 5 was announced at Toy Fair (2013 Marvel Legends Series 2), I’ve been intrigued about how Hasbro was going to determine the case-pack. Counting variants, there are 9 different figures in the series, so it was entirely possible we’d get Marvel Legends cases with up to 8 different new figures in them. Today, all that guessing came to an end, as retailers were officially allowed to reveal the Marvel Legends 2013 Wave 2 case ratios. And, well.. the case assortment is pretty terrible…

Amongst the landslide of new products being released this spring for the Iron Man 3 movie, it would be pretty easy to completely lose sight of a few lines being released. One that shouldn’t be forgotten about, however, is Hasbro’s awesome line of Iron Man 3 Marvel Legends figures.
