Hasbro has been on a roll this year revisiting fan-favorite characters that haven’t been done since the Toybiz days, and that trend continues with today’s review. Just when it seemed as though the Toy Fair Exclusive Scarlet Spider sixth scale figure was a lock for “Fastest Hot Toys Sell-Out of 2019” after going to Wait List in under 12 hours, Hot Toys dropped a bombshell this week when they revealed an MMS that’s likely to blow poor Scarlet Spider’s sales out of the water! For whatever crazy reason, Bandai Tamashii didn’t have enough faith in the SH Figuarts Infinity War Thor figure to mass release it. It was a limited web exclusive in Asia, and didn’t get a domestic release at all. Consequently, that Thor Figuarts is hugely expensive and difficult for U.S. collectors to obtain now. But Medicom has wisely stepped up to bat to come to the rescue and fill the void with their own 6” scale import of the Avengers 3 God of Thunder: the MAFEX Thor Infinity War figure is now up for order!

Hasbro hit collectors up with a trio of unannounced and unexpected exclusive Marvel Legends 80th Anniversary Figures this spring/summer, when they put the Marvel Legends Anti-Venom, Cowboy Logan and Big-Time Spider-Man Figures up for order! When POs opened, we had a single glam shot of each figure to make our pre-ordering decision based on. Hasbro has been pretty on-the-ball with giving collectors pretty much every major Marvel Studios villain in 6” Marvel Legends form (sorry Malekith and Kaecillius—you don’t rate), so it wasn’t a big plot twist when they revealed we’d be getting a movie-based Marvel Legends Mysterio figure from Spider-Man Far From Home as well.
