We’ve known since last year that Hot Toys has acquired the license to make Hot Toys Captain America The Winter Soldier sixth scale figures, but Hot Toys has been pretty mum regarding the lineup (aside from a Photoshopped teaser of Captain America and The Winter Soldier from the start of the year). But luckily, we are now less than one month away from the release of the Captain America 2 movie, and Hot Toys can begin showing their cards. And they did so overnight in a huge way, revealing what looks to be at least four new 1/6 Captain America: The Winter Soldier Hot Toys Movie Masterpiece Series figures…

Another day, another Funko variant. Last week I talked about the unannounced release of the Barnes and Noble exclusive Funko Black & White Captain America POP! Vinyls figure. Cap is an old-timey kind of guy and Funko loves their black and white variants, so that release was pretty commonplace. This latest release is going to be one that’s a lot more unexpected, however–the exclusive Funko Glow-in-the-Dark Captain America POP Vinyls figure! When speculation hit the net that the major licensed 2014 LEGO sets would be delayed past January 2014 until after the theatrical release of The LEGO Movie (so as not to damage LEGO Movie sets’ early sales), I thought that notion was silly.

But I guess maybe there was something to that rumor after all… the LEGO Movie hit theaters just days ago, and like magic, all of the LEGO Marvel 2014 sets have suddenly appeared in LEGO stores!

Thus far, the Captain America Super Soldier Gear figures series have not exactly been a smash hit. I see very few people talking about these Hasbro 3 3/4″ Captain America The Winter Soldier figures, and plenty of every figure–even the shortpacked Red Skull–on retail shelves.

Even so, Hasbro has Super-Soldier Gear Wave 2 ready to ship next month, and it brings a new character to the table collectors will actually want–the Falcon!
