Funko brings out a multitude of Marvel POP! Vinyls figures for virtually every single Marvel movie that hits theaters, so it was only a matter of time and patience until we saw Funko’s offerings for the next major Marvel film! I thought perhaps Funko was saving their Captain America: The Winter Soldier POP Vinyls to debut at the New York Toy Fair 2014 next month, but that was not to be! Instead, the quartet of Winter Soldier figures are up for order today, including the first-ever Funko Black Widow and not one but two versions of The Winter Soldier himself!

I went out this morning to pick up this week’s comic books and search for the Amazing Spider-Man 2 & Captain America Marvel Legends 2014 figures, and for a nice change my search wasn’t totally in vain. I stumbled across a full case of the Captain America: The Winter Soldier Marvel Legends figures on the pegs (and yes, I bought all a full set to review this month), as well as the full assortment of Hasbro Super Soldier Gear Captain America: The Winter Soldier 3 3/4″ figures. And hey, these Marvel Universe-scale Winter Soldier figures aren’t all bad…

Bowen Designs Baron Zemo Statue Images & Preview!

While some Marvel fans will insist that it’s decidedly uncool to,claim your favorite Captain America villain is anyone other than the Red Skull, my personal favorite villain is the far more morally ambiguous Baron Zemo. Baron Zemo swag doesn’t tend to light the collecting world on fire, however, so high-end Baron Zemo collectibles aren’t all that common.

But Baron Zemo is about to get a fresh taste of the high-end, as a Bowen Designs Baron Zemo has now been revealed as in the works!

Marvel collectors got an unexpected early Christmas present tonight, when the great Dan Curto posted a scan from this week’s new Diamond Previews Magazine, fully revealing the first wave of Hasbro Marvel Universe 2014 figures: the Avengers Infinite Series Wave 1! Along with a couple “headliners” most collectors already have, we’ll also be getting Avengers Infinite Series Wasp, Hyperion, The Grim Reaper and the Indestructible Hulk!

The K-Mart website is one of my favorite sources for obtaining early images of new LEGO sets for my LEGO blog, so them posting new toy photos early (and often before they’re allowed to do so) is nothing new. What is a bit of a switch is that this time, they’ve gone ahead and posted the first official packaged images of the 2014 Captain America: The Winter Soldier Marvel Legends movie figures!

Now that the holidays are at an end (at least for a couple weeks), I’ve got a chance to step back and discuss some news items I didn’t have time to talk about during Thanksgiving break. First up on the list is the third release in the Marvel NOW Kotobukiya Avengers ArtFX+ line: Captain America! Cap debuted at SDCC 2013 in July, but was M.I.A. when NYCC 2013 rolled around in October. Does the dearth of new comic-inspired Marvel Select figures in 2013 got you down? Thus far, Diamond Select Toys has released zero comic book-based Marvel Select figures in the second half of 2013, as all of the recent figures have been based on Marvel movies like “The Wolverine”, “Iron Man 3” and “Thor: The Dark World”.

But this morning DST announced the cure for what ails comic-based Marvel fans: an all-new Marvel Select Winter Soldier figure–and surprise–he’s coming in December 2013!
