While they were super-light on Marvel exclusives at SDCC 2014, Funko is clearly aiming to beat every other licensee in sheer quantity of exclusive Marvel toys at SDCC 2015! Thus far, they’ve announced the X-Force Deadpool Chimichanga Truck, a super-lame unmasked Baymax POP Vinyl, and a not-quite-“limited” Cosmic Powers Deadpool Hikari. And now? Funko has revealed a Marvel POP! that everyone is gonna want: it’s the Funko POP Vinyls Ant-Man Black Out figure, featuring the Hank Pym Ant-Man costume!

Hasbro SDCC 2015 Exclusive Ant-Man Figures Box Set!

With no substantial rumors swirling about and no leaked images of unknown Marvel Infinite Series 3 3/4″ figures surfacing from overseas, I’ve had my doubts for a while now that we would actually see any kind of exclusive SDCC 2015 Marvel Universe figures set from Hasbro. Well, I think we can effectively put the nail in the coffin of any chance of a SDCC 2015 Marvel Infinite Series set today, as Hasbro has revealed its final two Comic-Con exclusive Marvel items: six figures themed around Ant-Man! But hey… one of them is 3 3/4″. That’s pretty good, right…?

I woke up this morning to some good news and some bad news. The good news was that the Marvel Legends Ant-Man Series had finally gone up for pre-order! The bad news was: the first place to open orders was the store I trust to fulfill my order the absolute least: Toys R Us online. But wait! Have patience, young grasshoppers, because dependable Ant-Man Legends figure reservations popped up this afternoon: Amazon now has the entire Marvel Legends Ant-Man Series with Ultron Prime Build-A-Figure available for order!

Yesterday I talked about the first San Diego Comic-Con 2015 exclusive Funko figure, but that’s not the only exclusive already announced! There have been exclusive Marvel Minimates box sets at San Diego Comic Con for so many years in a row that there was never really a question of whether there would be SDCC 2015 Exclusive Minimates figures–the only real question is how many there will be! And while we still can’t answer with certainty how many total exclusives will be at the event, we do know at least two exclusive sets that will be on sale there: the exclusive SDCC 2015 Minimates Ant-Man & Avengers Age of Ultron Sets!

I’m pretty sure that at this point, Funko is releasing enough new vinyl figures for every collector to buy one each day of the year (money willing). And while the majority of those releases are still general, mass-release items, there’s plenty of exclusives to go around! Though Amazon didn’t get their own exclusive for Avengers Age of Ultron, they did have exclusives for Guardians of the Galaxy and Big Hero 6. Last week, rumors began to circulate that at least one Marvel Legends Ant-Man figure is in the pipeline and will be released at Target stores later this year. But as nice as the Hasbro Marvel Legends figures are, there’s one domestic action figure manufacturer that makes even more detailed and movie-accurate Marvel figures: Diamond Select Toys. And while it’s very unlikely that it’ll be more articulated than the eventual Ant-Man Marvel Legends figure, the Marvel Select Ant-Man figure is now up for order!
