A couple weeks back, Funko went and announced a whole plethora of new Deadpool figures for 2016 in honor of the impending Deadpool movie. But if you thought that that was all the love that Funko was planning to give Wade Wilson this winter, you thought wrong! There are at least a half-dozen more Deadpool POP! Vinyls figures in the pipeline (not counting whatever is in the February Collector Corps box), and two of them have started showing up for sale before Funko can even announce them: it’s the exclusive FYE Blue & Bath Time Deadpool POPs!

As I was getting ready for bed last night at my usual 4AM bedtime, I glanced at my Facebook Newsfeed briefly and was a bit taken aback to see a post by Hot Toys with a mega-sized image of Deadpool’s mask on it. The teaser photo’s accompanying text gave collectors the news that many have been praying for: an official Hot Toys Deadpool sixth scale figure is being released next year! But wait! We didn’t just get an announcement that Wade was coming–at today’s Toy Soul 2015 event overseas, the Deadpool Hot Toys figure was officially revealed!

I’ve known it intellectually for a while, but due to the lack of fanfare and almost total absence of merchandising, it hadn’t really clicked in my head until recently that “Deadpool” was the next Marvel movie hitting theaters!

But one company that absolutely did not forget is Funko, and they’re now unleashed a variety of pre-orders for items ranging from Deadpool Mopeez plushies to ceramic head mugs!

Everything’s coming up Deadpool! Yesterday I posted my review of the very well-done Hasbro Marvel Infinite Series Deadpool 3 3/4″ figure, which is the only new Deadpool action figure expected to be released at mass retail in advance of this movie’s “Deadpool” movie by Fox.

But while it’ll be found mostly online and in specialty stores, there’s one new Wade Wilson collectible just released that blows all the others away! The Sideshow Deadpool Sixth Scale Figure has just started shipping, and the unboxing photos show that this masterpiece was worth the year-plus wait!

While it hasn’t exactly been getting the ludicrous amount of hype that other movies coming out in the near future (*cough* Star Wars *cough*) are, there’s a superhero movie hitting theaters in just over three months called “Deadpool”. And while there won’t be a plethora of Deadpool toys at mass retail when the movie does drop, Hasbro has lined up at least one new(-ish) figure for fans to chase after: the Marvel Infinite Series Deadpool figure mold is an oldie, but is it still a goodie…?

NYCC 2015: Sideshow Marvel Statues! Final 12″ Deadpool!

For the first time ever, Sideshow Collectibles made the long journey across to the east coast with a marquee booth on the floor at New York Comic Con 2015!

But while the NYCC Sideshow booth didn’t meet my lofty expectations, I did get to see some gems in person for the first time, including the Spider-Man Premium Format Figures and the final finished Deadpool sixth scale figure!

Diamond Select Toys really brought the Marvel goods to New York Comic Con (well, provided you’re a Minimates collector and not a Marvel Select guy).

Not only was the next series of Animated Marvel Minimates shown–plus Spider-Gwen–but an all-new series also debuted: Marvel Minimates Series 65 is all Deadpool, all the time! And hey–it’s the first action figure of X-Force’s Siryn ever!!

I love Funko an awful, awful lot. So much so, in fact, that I stood in line at the Toy Tokyo booth at New York Comic Con 2014 in a sort-of-successful attempt to claim the NYCC 2014 Funko exclusives. So I was pretty pumped when Funko announced they’d be attending NYCC themselves for the first time in 2015.

But if there were a prize for lamest NYCC 2015 exclusive, even without knowing all of the other possibilities this year yet, I’m pretty sure the winner would be Funko with the POP! Rides Red Deadpool Chimichanga Truck vinyl set…

Amidst hundreds of new collectibles on display at San Diego Comic-Con 2015 last month, I know one absence that really bummed out a lot of Marvel collectors was that of any never-before-seen Marvel Select figures (as we’d already seen all of the figures coming from that line for 2015).
