Of all the Marvel collectibles shown at San Diego Comic-Con 2015, there was one unexpected surprise that delighted me more than any other. No, it isn’t more Marvel Legends or even new Hot Toys figures–it’s not even a line of traditional statues!
Nope, it’s the announcement of a line that I hope Gentle Giant goes deep into and releases dozens of characters for: mini Skottie Young Marvel Babies statues!

Hot Toys is like a wild predator today, and Iron Man collectors are their prey! This morning, Hot Toys posted the official photos for over $1000 worth of new Iron Man figures. Among the new toys are the first-ever Pepper Potts sixth scale figure and two of the previously-unreleased House Party Protocol armors.
But there’s no question what the biggest (literally) reveal of the day is: the Hot Toys Iron Man Mark 45 Quarter Scale figure goes up for order soon!

Following his surprisingly decent-sized role in Avengers: Age of Ultron, 2015 has turned out to be a far bigger year for War Machine figures than I ever imagined! New figures are coming this year from Marvel Legends, Hot Toys, SH Figuarts, Minimates, Sideshow Collectibles and more. And now, we can add perhaps the most unique entry of all to that list: the unique Sentinel RE:EDIT War Machine figure is now up for order!

Considering that they already premiered the Hot Toys Iron Man Mark 45 sixth scale figure today–a figure that will certainly retail for well over $300–you might think that Hot Toys would be satisfied with the tens of thousands of dollars they’re about to secure. But uhnt-uh! They want more! And what better way to cash in on the Avengers Age of Ultron Hot Toys craze than with army-builder figures from the movie? The MMS 299 Hot Toys Iron Legion sixth scale figure is now up for order!

With no new Marvel Legends figures hitting retail and two months until the arrival of the Ant-Man movie, It seemed like May 2015 was going to be a pretty quiet and cheap month for Marvel figure collectors. Note the emphasis on “was”. See, last Friday the Hot Toys Vision figure appeared. And then yesterday the amazing Spider-Man Premium Format Figure went up for order. And today, Hot Toys decided to unveil two new sixth scale figures, of which one is a pretty big deal–the die-cast Hot Toys Iron Man Mark 45 figure is now up for order!

When Bandai Japan first debuted their lineup of SH Figuarts Avengers Age of Ultron figures, there was an imposing shadow in the background that may have generated more discussion and hype than all of the figures Bandai actually showed combined. That silhouette… belong to Hulkbuster Iron Man. Considering the size and sure-to-be-crippling price of such a figure, I was skeptical Bandai Tamashii Nations would tackle such a beast. But it’s true! The monstrous SH Figuarts Hulkbuster Iron Man goes up for order at the end of this month–and he will be coming with a monstrous price to match…

Of all the various toy lines that I cover on Marvel Toy News, the one that tends to be the most difficult is the Funko Hikari Marvel vinyls. See, Funko tends to announce its new Hikaris like clockwork every Friday–but there’s no warning when a new Marvel one will be revealed, and when one is, it’s typically sold out within hours. Such is the case with the two latest additions: Funko Hikari X-Force Deadpool and Inferno Iron Man!

For several years now, many collectors have considered the Hot Toys Marvel 1/6 figures to be the best Marvel figures on the market right now (and quite possibly ever). But maybe–just maybe–you’ve been waiting for something bigger than sixth scale. Something along the lines of a super-articulated Sideshow Premium Format Figure statue. If that sounds like you, you’re in luck–the 20″ Hot Toys 1/4 Iron Man Mark 43 figure is now up for order!

Now that we’re less than one month out from the theatrical release of “Avengers: Age of Ultron”, we’ve seen pretty clear looks at every character design from the movie that isn’t top-secret. Well, every character design except one–until now! While nearly every toy manufacturer out there is repainting old Iron Man Mark 42 collectibles into Mark 43, and everyone is wild for the Mark 44 Hulkbuster Iron Man, poor Mark 45 has slipped through the cracks! But no longer–the Bandai S.H. Figuarts Iron Man Mark 45 figure has now been fully revealed!

After Iron Man 3 came out and introduced 36 new Iron Man armor permutations, it seemed like Hot Toys might not have to ever think up a non-canonical movie design for Iron Man ever again. But whether it was necessary to do so or not, that’s just what Hot Toys has done again: the Avengers Age of Ultron limited exclusive Hot Toys Movie Promo Stealth Iron Man Mark VII figure is now up for order!
UPDATE: After five hours up for sale, Stealth Iron Man is now SOLD OUT! If you want him and didn’t order yet, now is the time to get on the Wait List!

I know that there’s no way that I can one-up the unbridled excitement that yesterday’s discussion of this year’s Marvel Candy Bowls drummed up, so I’m not even going to try to match that high mark today. No, instead I’m going to talk about something a little more mass-market today. Hasbro has been pleased with the performance of its Marvel Super Hero Mashers toy line over the past year, and in honor of the Avengers Age of Ultron movie, they’re giving us one of the most loaded sets yet: the Marvel Mashers Ultimate Avengers Set with Stealth Iron Man and Captain America figures!

From the moment Marvel movie fans saw the first concept artwork of Hulkbuster Iron Man from hthe Avengers: Age of Ultron movie, the Hulkbuster has had more buzz and excitement surrounding it than any other character in the film (including Vision, Scarlet Witch and even Ultron himself). And now, Tony Stark’s mightiest creation is coming to the most popular high-end line of Marvel collectibles: the MMS 285 Hot Toys Hulkbuster Iron Man is now up for order!

I have developed a new Marvel collecting problem over the last year, and that problem is called Funko Hikari. See, Funko charges $80 each for their Hikari Sofubi vinyls; Hikaris take up a ton of space, and Funko releases a half-dozen colorways of every mold. And I’ve bought all the Marvel ones so far. All of them. So at New York Toy Fair 2015, my heart soared–and my wallet cried–when the Funko Hikari Hulk and Iron Man figures were revealed!

One of my first stops at the 2015 New York Toy Fair today was the Kotobukiya booth, which I cruised into with a sparkle in my eyes and dreams of seeing the Kotobukiya X-Men ARTFX+ statues in my heart. Unfortunately, those dreams were shattered.
But as a consolation prize, I did get to see the just-revealed Avengers: Age of Ultron Kotobukiya Iron Man Mark 43 ARTFX statue!

Last week, Kotobukiya knocked the respective socks off of Marvel collectors everywhere when they revealed their first two Avengers: Age of Ultron ARTFX+ statues: Hulk and Hulkbuster Iron Man. At the time, I predicted that these would be the two most expensive Kotobukiya Marvel ARTFX+ statues released to date–and I was right. But while the price range was what I expected on Hulk, the ARTFX+ Hulkbuster Iron Man is a, uh… ‘little’ more than I expected: the Kotobukiya Hulkbuster Iron Man and Hulk statues are now available for order!
