While we’ve had a veritable deluge of Hasbro Marvel Legends figures that have come our way this year, there’s one figure that I’ve been excited about above all others: the long-awaited X-Men Legends Nimrod figure with both classic and Jonathan Hickman heads! And 5+ months after his big reveal, he’s finally up for grabs: the AMAZON EXCLUSIVE Marvel Legends Nimrod, Psylocke and Fantomex figures set is now up for order!

While last week’s Hasbro solicitations were rightly focused on the 20th Anniversary of the original X-Men live-action movie, as soon as those figures went live for pre-orders fans were asking when we’d be seeing the Deadpool movie figures that were unveiled at February’s New York Toy Fair 2020. But the time is now here—and Wade isn’t alone! The Marvel Legends Deadpool movie figures and Old Man Logan/Hawkeye two/pack are now up for order:

This year’s sole wave of Avengers Legends is a real anomaly in the modern era of Hasbro Marvel Legends in that, well… I don’t particularly want half the figures in the wave (including the Build-A-Figure!). Maybe I’ll turn around completely once the Square-Enix Avengers video game hits, but for the moment, this GamerVerse Marvel Legends Abomination Series is leaving me cold. Luckily, half the wave is composed of comic book characters, including the subject of today’s review: is it worth following The Leader Marvel Legends figure all the way to checkout?

And part of this initiative is Walmart Collector Con, which kicked off today with a huge variety of exclusive toys up for order—including the Walmart Exclusive Marvel Legends Movie Cable & Venomized Captain America figures that debuted at New York Toy Fair 2020!

Not a company to let such a momentous day go by without celebration, Hasbro has officially launched a quartet of figures we first saw debuted at the 2020 New York Toy Fair: Marvel Legends X-Men Movie Mystique, Wolverine, Magneto and Professor X are now up for order!
And for those who prefer to order their figures through Amazon, here’s the direct links:

UPDATE 7/12/2020: The Haslab Marvel Legends Sentinel project keeps steamrolling ahead like no Haslab project before it! Just two days after launching, 8000+ backers have already signed up and the second tier of “stretch goals” has now been unlocked: an alternate battle-damaged Sentinel head and hand that will be included as additional interchangeable parts when the figures ship out next year! Who’s psyched about these new options, and what are you hoping for at the 9000+ unlock?
Continue Reading →It’s the first Monday of the month, and that means today was the day for another Hasbro Marvel Monday reveal! And this time out, Hasbro officially confirmed a figure that’s been heavily rumored since early in the year: the 2020 Marvel Legends Toxin figure is now up for order! This massive symbiote may look familiar to those who have either version of the Monster Venom figure that Hasbro has released twice now—is enough different to warrant a fresh purchase of this deluxe boxed figure?
Continue Reading →Jumping back to my series of X-Men Marvel Legends Age of Apocalypse wave figures, today I’m going to check out the token female figure in the series! In one of her most unique looks ever, it’s the Marvel Legends X-Men Age of Apocalypse Jean Grey figure that’s available online now! AOA Jean Grey comes with a whopping zero accessories of her own, but also one of the biggest Build-A-Figure parts ever—does it even out and make her a worthwhile purchase?
Continue Reading →While it was a virtual certainty that we’d see a Marvel Legends Black Widow movie series in 2020, I don’t think many folks would have placed money on the Build-A-Figure of the series being Gennady Gavrilov, the 8th Crimson Dynamo who debuted in the 2003 “Crimson Dynamo” limited series! The rationale for the Marvel Legends Crimson Dynamo BAF being included in the Black Widow wave was obviously “Russian”, which is a little bit of a tenuous connection. But does that make this a bad figure? Not at all…
Continue Reading →If you had asked me a year ago what X-Men characters I never in my life thought would be made as super-articulated Hasbro Marvel Legends, Sugar Man would have definitely been on that list. But that was before Hasbro announced an entire series of Age of Apocalypse figures, defying fans’ expectations by not making the Build-A-Figure Holocaust or Apocalypse or Sabretooth, but instead… the Sugar Man! And so, the Sugar Man BAF has now cometh for those who bought the whole wave! Is this monstrous menace worth assembling…?
Continue Reading →Of all the characters to come out of the X-Men Age of Apocalypse storyline, the strongest case can arguably be made for X-Man (Nate Grey) being the most impactful character to survive that universe and cross into the 616. So it feels fully appropriate that the alternate universe Cable make an appearance in this first wave of Marvel Legends Age of Apocalypse X-Men figures! Although he’s pre-sold out through Amazon and BBTS, EE still has Marvel Legends X-Man 6″ figure pre-orders available! Is he worth snagging?
Continue Reading →It was only a week and a half ago that Hasbro dropped a double-digit number of new pre-orders on us with the Spider-Man Retro Series and more, but already they’re prepped and ready to roll with a fresh round of solicits: the 2020 Marvel Legends Deadpool & X-Force Strong Guy Series is now up for order! We’ve been seeing dribbles of this wave revealed since Sunspot and Warpath at NYCC 2019, but finally the whole assortment has been revealed, including Shiklah and… Pirate Deadpool?!

Hasbro is bringing the big guns today, as not only is the whole Retro Marvel Legends Spider-Man series going up for sale today, but also two deluxe boxed figures first shown at New York Toy Fair 2020 are now being officially solicited: the Marvel Legends Age of Apocalypse Apocalypse and War Machine figures are now up for order! With the aftermarket prices on the X-Men Legends Apocalypse figure through the roof right now, this new version of the big ‘A’ is gonna be hot!

And the highlight of these new items solicited today for Spider-Man fans won’t surprise anyone: the Marvel Legends Spider-Man Retro Series figures are now up for order! And while we saw half the wave at NY Toy Fair, the other half revealed today is absolutely loaded with Electro, Green Goblin and even Armored Daredevil!

Continue Reading →As an impressionable 13 year-old when X-Men “Age of Apocalypse” hit in 1995, the appearance of a sinister, morality-blind alternate universe Hank McCoy blew my mind. And when that evil Beast crossed over to continue his mad science in the main Marvel Universe? Jaw dropped in disbelief! There’s zero question that Dark Beast is among the longest-lasting and most significant characters from the AOA—and an obvious choice for Hasbro’s first wave from the series. X-Men Marvel Legends Dark Beast is shipping this month from online retailers—is this a sadistic Hank McCoy worth dropping your dollars on?
