Believe it or not, San Diego Comic Con 2018 begins in under one month! Even so, we hadn’t heard am official peep regarding this year’s Hasbro Marvel Legends exclusives. At least—not until today! After accidentally leaking the set last week, this morning the Hollywood Reporter posted the first official look at the Marvel Legends Netflix Defenders Box Set including the first Netflix Colleen Wing and Iron Fist figures!

While Avengers Infinity War will go down as one of the most legendary superhero team-up movies in history, it didn’t just feature many beloved existing characters interacting—it also introduced some significant new villains to non-comic book readers in the form of Thanos’ Black Order. Proxima Midnight was the sole representative in the first wave of Infinity War Marvel Legends, but she’s got some large help now. The Marvel Legends Cull Obsidian Build-A-Figure is on the scene and selling for $60+ on the aftermarket: is it worth building this big boy?
Continue Reading →Marvel Legends Infinity War Wave 2 is a pretty weird series, as the set is split three ways between characters from the comics and the Ant-Man and the Wasp and Avengers Infinity War movies. But not only is the Cull Obsidian Series an unusually eclectic mix—it’s also been unusually hard to find in stores. And among the harder figures to come by is the one new comic book-based figures in the wave: Marvel Legends Black Knight…
Continue Reading →UPDATE (6/18/2018): For those who missed out on the life-size Marvel Legends Star-Lord Helmet last year and have been kicking themselves ever since because of the crazy $150-$200+ aftermarket prices it’s been selling for lately, you’re in luck–Amazon has put some leftovers of the electronic Star-Lord helmet back up for sale at the original $99 MSRP! I haven’t heard anything about this helmet getting a full reissue from Hasbro, so this may well be the last chance to grab this for a decent price if you need it!
Continue Reading →What, three full waves of new Marvel Legends figures going up for pre-order in two weeks still isn’t enough for you?! Well, Hasbro certainly hopes not, because they also solicited one more new figure box set this week! First shown at New York Toy Fair 2018 back in February, the 6” X-Men Marvel Legends Wolverine Motorcycle set is now up for order! If anyone’s motorcycle is going to come close to being as cool as Ghost Rider’s (because it’s sort of the same motorcycle), it’s Logan’s!
Continue Reading →It may be time to start building an ark, because the Hasbro flood of new Marvel Legends figures this month doesn’t seem to be letting up! This time, it’s not another whole new series of figures, though—it’s just one three pack of upgrading figures many collectors may have missed! The 6” Marvel Legends Infinity War 3-Pack of Thanos (with new head!), Doctor Strange and Iron Man is now up for order!
Continue Reading →UPDATE: The Venom Marvel Legends Series may have just gone up for sale a couple hours ago, but single figures of every Venom Legends figure are now available for PO as well! They’re not quite as cheap per figure as buying by the case, but if you just want to cherry-pick your favorites like Spider-Ham, Scream or Carnage, you might wanna jump on this before the popular shortpacked figures are gone!
Continue Reading →UPDATE: Yesterday this wave went up for sale by error, but it’s no accident today that not only are whole cases of the Marvel Legends SP//dr Series available–but single figures of Marvel Legends Doc Ock, Cloak/Dagger, Elektra and company are as well! They’re two bucks more per figure than buying by the case, but if you’re only looking to grab Doctor Octopus, Scarlet Spider, Daredevil or whoever for your collection, this is the time to do it!
Continue Reading →UPDATE 6/11/2018: For those looking to army-build X-Men Marvel Legends Multiple Man or just pick and choose their favorites like Magneto, Wolverine, Psylocke, Sabertooth, Gladiator or Storm, individual figures from the Marvel Legends X-Men Apocalypse Series are now up for order while they last!
Continue Reading →After close to a year since the first figures were shown at SDCC 2017, the 2018 X-Men Marvel Legends Apocalypse Series finally went up for order yesterday! Such a momentous occassion has understandably put me into an X-Men kinda mood. And so, for today’s review, let’s take a look at the X-character who’s managed to one-up Deadpool in his own series by being by far the most in-demand figure of the wave: Deadpool Marvel Legends Cable!
Continue Reading →Earlier this week, I reviewed a Marvel Legends Build-A-Figure that I thought was solid overall but just a little bit boring: the Deadpool Legends Sasquatch BAF. Today I’m going to the opposite extreme with a review of a Build-A-Figure that’s anything but boring! The Marvel Legends Lizard BAF is the most expensive on the aftermarket of this year’s Build-A-Figures thus far and is quite difficult to find all the pieces for at retail. Is this classic Spidey villain worth the hype (and secondary market prices)?
Continue Reading →At New York Toy Fair 2018, Hasbro showed off almost the entirety of this summer’s Venom Marvel Legends series of figures, revealing five of the figures that will comprise the series. They also showed off the packaging for the Venom Legends Series, which revealed that the Build-A-Figure would be something called “Monster Venom”. Speculation ran rampant about what the Monster Venom figure would be, but today, he’s been revealed! And the Marvel Legends Monster Venom BAF isn’t alone–the final figure in the series, Typhoid Mary has now made her debut!
Continue Reading →Continuing to slog through my massive backlog of Marvel Legends figures that I have queued for review, today I’m looking at one of this year’s most surprising Build-A-Figures. Sasquatch is one of the cheaper complete Marvel Legends BAFs on the aftermarket in quite a while, and has only a tenuous connection to the character whose series he’s the Build-A-Figure of (Deadpool). Is this Hasbro figure worth upgrading to if you already own the Toybiz version?
Continue Reading →Every so often, Hasbro will end up releasing a 6” Marvel Legends figure that blows my mind in both positive and negative regard. Such is the case with one of the most difficult Marvel Legends figures to find at retail so far this year: Iron Spider! Though Marvel Legends Iron Spider is selling for double on the aftermarket and is tough to snag at retail, this release baffles by what’s present being perfect, and what’s not present driving collectors nuts…
Continue Reading →I’m still well behind in my 2018 Marvel Legends reviews, so I’m going to diverge from my usual format and knock out two figure reviews for the price of one today! While the Spider-Man Marvel Legends Lizard Series has been out in stores (allegedly) for a couple months now, it’s been exceedingly hard to find in a lot of areas. If you haven’t obtained the Marvel Legends Lasher and Prowler Figures yet, are they worth the hunt? Here’s my review…
