With Toys R Us going the way of the dodo, there’s been a lot of concern and confusion about exactly where the exclusives intended for them would end up. While the jury is still out on what will happen with the Marvel Legends Sentinel and Infinity War Thor/Rocket/Groot sets, we now know the fate of at least one set: the exclusive Marvel Legends Ant-Man & Stinger two-pack is now up for order online!

While a continuing Marvel Legends Deadpool Series on paper sounded like it could get really old, really fast, Hasbro has actually managed to make the Deadpool Legends highly desirable by sprinkling in characters that are more X-Men related than necessarily Deadpool related. The 2018 Marvel Legends Deadpool Wave 1 has been incredibly popular and hard to find in stores thus far, and Wave 2 looks to be just as popular with headliners like Bishop, Omega Red and a Sauron Build-A-Figure!

It’s taken about a month for it to happen, but most Hasbro collectors have managed to build the Thanos Build-A-Figure put together their Marvel Legends Infinity War Wave 1 sets by now. There’s no rest with the movie on the horizon, though, as Wave 2–the Cull Obsidian Series is coming up fast! And while we don’t have a pre-order or release date yet for the series, packaged photos of the entire set (including Marvel Legends Infinity War Thor and Black Widow!) appeared online this week…

It was a quiet Easter weekend (and I don’t do April Fool’s Day ever—sorry to anyone disappointed), so today let’s get back into the groove and take a look back at some Marvel Legends revealed at New York Toy Fair 2018 that I’ve mainly talked about on social media to-date. The Spider-Man Marvel Legends SP//dr Series is an interesting set where the main lineup is composed of all headliners (including Doc Ock and Cloak & Dagger!)—and one Build-A-Figure many folks have never heard of…

UPDATE 3/23/2018: A lot of Marvel collectors were disappointed when their Toys R Us Exclusive Scarlet Witch and Vision two-pack online orders were cancelled (including me)! Many feared that their hopes of ever getting these movie figures for non-scalper prices were at an end. But worry not–we all have another chance: the Marvel Legends Vision & Scarlet Witch pack is now up for order on EE for MSRP!
Whenever I mention Gwenpool, I tend to preface it with “I don’t really like this character”. And so, I don’t think anyone will be gobsmacked to hear that my anticipation for her first 6″ figure wasn’t quite off-the-charts. But to my utter astonishment, it turns out that not only do I not hate this Marvel Legends Gwenpool figure–I really kind of love it. The Spider-Man Legends Gwenpool Lizard Series figure is available online now for MSRP–and even if you’re just buying it for the Lizard BAF tail, you may be surprised how much you like it too…

Dipping back into my bag of hi-res photos that I took at New York Toy Fair 2018 last month, today I’m taking a look at the first-ever Hasbro Marvel Legends Venom series of 6” figures! While Hasbro didn’t show the entire series at Toy Fair, they did unveil three new figures to complement the previously-revealed Venom and Carnage: Spider-Ham, Scream and a Poison! And hey—what’s this about a Monster Venom Build-A-Figure…?

It’s been a quiet week for Marvel toy news, so time to dip into my huge cache of 2018 Marvel Legends figures that still need reviews! Having reviewed the most in-demand figure of the series first (the Thanos Build-A-Figure), it seemed appropriate to go for the guaranteed shelf-warmer of the series with my second review. The Marvel Legends King Cobra figure is readily available online for MSRP—but what he lacks in star power, he makes up for in being sheerly awesome!

When the Avengers Age of Ultron movie hit theaters, Hasbro had a bit of a missed opportunity with the Marvel Legends Ultron Build-A-Figure not hitting stores until months after the movie. Hasbro won’t be making the same mistake again, however, as the main Infinity War antagonist is available right out of the gate! You have to buy 6 of the 7 Marvel Legends Infinity War Wave 1 figures to build Thanos—is he worth the investment?
