One of the best things about Diamond Select Toys’ Marvel Select action figures line is that DST regularly reissues older figures from the line, thus giving new collectors a chance to collect Marvel Select figures that have been out of print (sometimes for years) without having to max out their credit card bill. Sometimes Diamond Select makes character choices to reissue that are sensational, and sometimes the picks are less exciting. The impending 2014 reissues of Marvel Select Captain Marvel and Spider-Woman fall into the more boring latter category…

Does the dearth of new comic-inspired Marvel Select figures in 2013 got you down? Thus far, Diamond Select Toys has released zero comic book-based Marvel Select figures in the second half of 2013, as all of the recent figures have been based on Marvel movies like “The Wolverine”, “Iron Man 3” and “Thor: The Dark World”.

It’s rather appropriate that that news came out on Veteran’s Day, but some collectors were upset with the revealed lineup and a glaring omission from it. Those fans may be in luck, however, as it turns out that the rumored Marvel Minimates Winter Soldier lineup circulating is apparently incorrect…

As a self-proclaimed X-Men fanboy, I buy every X-Men family book that comes out each month that doesn’t have “Wolverine” in the title (and one that does). So I was excited for this year’s big summer crossover (especially since I buy all the books it takes place in anyway).
