Though full details and photos have leaked out of virtually every single LEGO 2014 winter set, LEGO has been extra-stingy with information and images of their 2014 LEGO Marvel offerings. I’ve got some confidential-stamped images (that I can’t post, for obvious reasons), but otherwise LEGO has managed to keep their LEGO Marvel 2014 intel very close to their vest.

News hit the street on Thanksgiving Day last week that Hot Toys was bringing back the highly-desirable Hot Toys Hulk figure in a special set with the all-new Hot Toys Bruce Banner sixth scale figure. Hasbro is getting geared up for 2014, and after releasing their solicitation information over the holiday for the Captain America and Spider-Man Marvel Legends Infinite Series figures over the weekend, they’re moving on to their 3.75″ figure offerings! Now that the holidays are at an end (at least for a couple weeks), I’ve got a chance to step back and discuss some news items I didn’t have time to talk about during Thanksgiving break. First up on the list is the third release in the Marvel NOW Kotobukiya Avengers ArtFX+ line: Captain America! Cap debuted at SDCC 2013 in July, but was M.I.A. when NYCC 2013 rolled around in October. Just when many collectors thought that the Hot Toys Avengers 1/6 Movie Masterpiece Series figures line was at an end, Hot Toys has revealed to the world the official photos and specifications for two more Avengers Hot Toys Sixth Scale figures! Something unexpected and absolutely stupefying happened this week: not only did the Marvel Select Silver Surfer ship out on time, it actually shipped out early. While retailers were listing a December 2013 release date for the Silver Surfer Marvel Select figure, Diamond Select Toys snuck him out the door and into stores–even before the still-delayed Thor 2 Jane Foster!
