Last week when I reviewed the SDCC 2016 Marvel Legends Enchantress figure, I bemoaned the fact that the anticipated and oft-rumored single-packaged Enchantress figure wasn’t announced for the Marvel Legends Doctor Strange Series during the show. While Hasbro has spoiled Marvel Legends collectors with new figures released every month this year, LEGO collectors have it rougher, with only two full waves of LEGO Marvel sets being released per year. The Winter sets were focused on Captain America Civil War, but the LEGO Marvel Summer 2016 sets came available for sale online and in stores this month and include a variety of Spider-Man sets, as well as exclusive Civil War and Doctor Strange movie sets!

The Doctor Strange movie is launching in November 2016, which places it further out in the year than any MCU film ever. As a result, it seems like we’ve been waiting eternity for the Sorcerer Supreme to arrive… but now the wait is down to three months!

While the set was shown at the UK Toy Fair in January (with photography forbidden), the Sorcerer Supreme was absent entirely at the New York Toy Fair 2016 in February. But it was only a matter of time until the Master of Mysticism made his brick-form presence felt, and the LEGO Doctor Strange 76060 movie set has now been revealed!

When Funko only brought hand-painted samples of half of this year’s wave of comic-based Marvel POP Vinyls figures to New York Toy Fair last month–and just concept artwork of the other half–I figured we were probably several months away from seeing this new assortment of Marvel POPs placed up for grabs.
