I wasn’t in the market for yet another vinyl figure line to collect (seeing as I have a major weakness for them), but I fell in love at first sight with the Funko Marvel Dorbz figures when I first saw them at Toy Fair 2015. Even so, the line got off to a rocky start at retail. However, interest seems to have picked up, as the recently-released Marvel Dorbz Chase figures of Ultimate Spider-Man Miles Morales and Red Hulk are selling for $50+ each online!

2016 is off to a fast start, with the first wave of this year’s 6″ Marvel Legends figures already in our hands, and new products from Sideshow, Hot Toys and more already revealed. But one line that hadn’t landed yet was the newly- rebranded 4″ Marvel Legends 2016 figures… at least, not until now: the Hasbro Marvel Legends 4″ Wave 1 figures are now up for order! And not only does the series itself include eight figures–but so does the case pack…!

Yesterday I kicked off my Marvel Legends 2016 reviews with the Living Vampire, Morbius. But while Morbius is the oldest Spider-Man villain on that list, he’s not the oldest villain overall. There’s another character who’s older and far more famous–and he just so happens to be the first Build-A-Figure of the year!
Morbius earned high marks in his review–can the Spider-Man Marvel Legends Absorbing Man Build-A-Figure do the same?

I probably own more action figures of Spider-Man than any other Marvel character. In fact, I probably own more Spider-Man action figures than any other character, period. So it isn’t very often that a new Spidey figure goes up for order that I’m really, really excited about. But today, Diamond Select Toys surprised me with just such a figure, as it’s the most comic book-y Spidey around: the Marvel Shop Exclusive Marvel Select Spectacular Spider-Man is now up for order! With the light blue costume and Peter Parker head, this is gonna be my favorite Marvel Select Spidey ever…

2016 has barely arrived, but Hasbro is kicking off the new year right: with this year’s first wave of Spider-Man Marvel Legends 2016 figures already available online and beginning to show up in some retail stores! This is one of the best series of Legends ever, in my opinion, so I’m planning on reviewing every figure in the wave in due time. But where to begin? Well, how about with the most “classic” Spider-Man villain in the series: Morbius! Is this the definitive action figure of The Living Vampire…? Read on…

A couple of unannounced Marvel Legends 2016 4″ figures turned up on eBay last week, leaving fans wondering whether the figures were legit. Well, we Marvel Universe-scale collectors didn’t have too long to wait to find out: Hasbro has officially confirmed two upcoming new Marvel Legends 3.75″ figures–Black Panther and House of M Spider-Man! But there’s one other bit of news: a troubling potential price increase to $19.99 per figure…
UPDATE: And rejoice–Hasbro has confirmed that the price increase on their site was an error: 4″ figures will remain $12.99 in 2016.

There’s likely to be a little less Marvel Toy News this week than usual, as merchandisers (and collectors!) are temporarily distracted by the impending release of some big movie (apparently, there’s been an awakening). Even so, Hasbro hasn’t forgotten their Marvel Legends fans, and they’re planning to unveil a different 3 3/4″ Marvel Legends 2016 Wave 3 figure every day this week! And on the four days of Force Awakens-mas, Hasbro given to us: Marvel Legends Quasar, Hydro-Man, Morbius and Mohawk Rogue!

Though he’s typically considered to be Spider-Man’s greatest villain because of that one thing he did over 40 years ago, I am not now, nor have I ever been, a Green Goblin guy. But with merch like this, maybe I could learn to be!
I had zero expectations for the Sideshow Premium Format Green Goblin statue that went up for order today, but this loftily-priced piece is one of Sideshow’s most dynamic and incredible-looking Marvel statues ever…

Earlier this week, pre-orders popped up half-expectedly for the 2016 Marvel Legends Spider-Man Absorbing Man series. At the time, we only had grainy, low-res images to make our ordering decisions based on. But if you were waiting for hi-res photos to make up your mind, Hasbro has now sent out gorgeous official images of the whole wave! From Spider-Carnage to Spider-Gwen to Speed Demon, the gang is now all here in lovely, official hi-res image form!

It’s been a long wait since the series was revealed at SDCC 2015 back in July, but the time has come at last: the first wave of Spider-Man Marvel Legends 2016 figures is now available for order! Sometimes we have to wait until January to roll around to get our first batch of a new year’s Hasbro Marvel Legends 6″ figures, and sometimes we do not. This time is the latter, thankfully–not only can we order the new 2016 Marvel Legends Spider-Man Infinite Series figures this month–they’re supposed to be delivered this month!!

I was totally surprised by the lack of a Funko POP Vinyls Green Goblin in the Villains Marvel Collector Corps subscription box that came out last month, as I figured ol’ Gobby was a shoe-in for a release as a limited exclusive in that box. Well, turns out a Funko Green Goblin is on the way–and he is a limited exclusive! A second series of Walgreens Exclusives has been revealed with Green Goblin, Taskmaster and Iron Spider POP Vinyls!

2015 has been a downright incredible year for Marvel Legends collectors, no doubt about it. Hasbro released six full new waves of Marvel Legends 6″ figures this year, in addition to numerous exclusive releases. In total, over 50 new Marvel Legends action figures released this year! There’s just one problem with all this goodness: we’ve got to pay for it. But if you missed a few figures this year, you may be in luck–we’re teaming up with Entertainment Earth to give away an entire case of the Spider-Man Legends Hobgoblin Series!

With the recent releases of the Target 3-Pack and Walgreens First Appearance Daredevil exclusives, all of the 2015 Marvel Legends 6″ figures that had been scheduled have now been released. But don’t get too comfortable, Marvel collectors! While we’ve still likely got 6-8 weeks before they begin to arrive in the United States (less if Hasbro wants to rush them for Christmas), photos have leaked out of the factories in China giving us our first look at next year’s packaging and the final finished figures composing the 2016 Marvel Legends Captain America Civil War and Spider-Man series!

I have a pretty wide range of collecting interests, and as such, I’m always pretty pumped when two things that I collect interesect in an unexpected way. I’ve been playing the ultra-popular Disney Tsum Tsum mobile game on-and-off for about a year now, and picking-and-choosing random Tsum Tsum plush along the way. But next month’s new set will be an instant buy all-around: because it’s the first-ever Marvel Tsum Tsum plush series!
UPDATE 10/6: The first series of Marvel Tsum Tsums is now available online! Get ’em while they last (which is not gonna be long)!

The Spider-Man Marvel Legends Rhino Series is one of my favorite Hasbro Marvel Legends 6″ series ever, as it’s filling in character gaps both vital (Ben Reilly Scarlet Spider, Chameleon) and ridiculously obscure. Last time I talked about the almost-perfect Misty Knight figure, but she’s not the only female in this wave! The Marvel Legends White Tiger figure is also now available for order, and while she may not be a mainstream icon, she is a pretty stellar action figure…
