Earlier tonight I posted the assortment and case ratios for the Amazing Spider-Man 2 Marvel Legends Infinite Series, but that’s not the only series of Marvel Legends 2014 figures to have its pre-order info revealed tonight! Though the case-pack turns out to be a tad less enticing than that of the Marvel Legends 2014 Spider-Man set, the Captain America Marvel Legends Infinite Series Wave 1 is also now up for pre-order! I hope you all like Cap, though–because there’s plenty of him in the case…

When I saw the packaging revealed for the 2014 Marvel Legends Infinite Series Spider-Man series, I had my suspicions that the other shoe was about to drop in the form of a price increase for Hasbro Marvel Legends next year.

Thanks to some leaks from Asia, not only do we get our first look at the packaging for the Amazing Spider-Man 2 Marvel Legends, but we get a glimpse at what just may be the two remaining variant figures from the line: Marvel Legends Toxin and Spider-Girl!

Yesterday we got the unfortunate news that the last two Marvel Universe Team Pack three-packs were officially cancelled by Hasbro. Not to pile on all the bad news at once, I decided to hold off for a day before spreading a bit more gloom. Remember all those Marvel Legends running changes we’ve been waiting for (some of which for over a year), like the Marvel Legends Dani Moonstar and Red Deadpool variants?

Slowly but surely, the last 2013 Hasbro Marvel figures are finding their way to retail! Though the Wolverine Legends Puck Series of Marvel Legends 6″ figures missed the theatrical release of “The Wolverine” movie by two months, this series of Wolverine Marvel Legends figures never really had anything to do with the movie to begin with (other than the fact that Wolverine stars in both). Instead, this 6″ Wolverine Legends action figure series features some of the most-wanted Hasbro 6″ figures, including Emma Frost. While Hasbro brought a decent number of new figures to their NYCC 2013 press event to reveal for their 2014 Marvel Legends Spider-Man and Amazing Spider-Man action figure lines, the amount of new product they had to show for next year’s Captain America push was comparatively low. Even so, there was some neat stuff to be had, such as newly-announced figures for the Marvel Legends Captain America Infinite Series 2014–including the Mandroid Build-A-Figure!

I wasn’t expecting a whole lot of news to come out from the NYCC 2013 Hasbro Press Event (after all, if there’s a lot of new product to show, why not have a panel at New York Comic Con itself or at least an exhibitor’s booth set up?). To my surprise, Hasbro debuted a significant number of never-seen-before Hasbro Marvel figures, including a series that just may be my favorite 6″ line of next year.

New York Comic Con 2013: No Hasbro Marvel Action Figures Panel

A lot of fans who attended this year’s Hasbro Marvel action figures panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2013 were pretty disappointed in the feel of the panel and number of reveals contained within. Well, as big of a let down as that SDCC Marvel Toys panel may have been, it’s not nearly as big a bummer as the Hasbro Marvel panel at New York Comic Con 2013–because it appears that there isn’t going to be a panel for attendees at all…

Over the course of the last month, I’ve talked about the highs of Marvel Legends Wave 6 (Black Panther and The Wrecker) and the lows of the set (like Jim Lee Jean Grey) in my series of Marvel Legends 2013 figure reviews. So it seems pretty fitting that I end the series of reviews with the figure from the set that’s the most in the middle of the road as neither especially good nor particularly bad.
