There hasn’t been a whole lot of X-Men toy news to report lately (as in none), but one of the rarest of all branches of X-Men merchandise had a new figure finally arrive after being on pre-order for way over a year: it’s the X-Men Hot Toys Wolverine Figure based on Wolverine’s appearance in “X-Men: The Last Stand”. This Wolverine Hot Toys Movie Masterpiece just arrived in Asia earlier this month, and it has made its way to the United States at lightning-fast speed, where pre-orders are now starting to be received by happy collectors!

Over the last year or two, the Hasbro Marvel Universe line has really slowed down a near-grinding halt. With only a handful of new Marvel Universe action figures coming out each year, Marvel collectors long for the days of yesteryear when it seemed like there were new Marvel Universe 3.75″ figures on the pegs every month.

While the line isn’t expected to pick up speed again anytime soon (if ever), prototypes have been found of at least one new Marvel Universe 2013 Team Pack to get excited about: the Marvel Universe Deadpool Corps figures!

Well, this is my first time, and I know it’s going to be unforgettable, because the Hot Toys sixth-scale figure that I’ve received first (I have about a dozen on pre-order) is one that I’ve been waiting literally an entire year for: the Hot Toys Avengers Loki figure! It was their reveal of Hot Toys Loki that really hooked me as a future Hot Toys collector, and he’s finally arrived! Hot Toys sent along an assortment of their upcoming Hot Toys Iron Man 3 figures and collectibles to this weekend’s Disney Toy Collectors’ Forum Exhibition in Shangai. All of the figures and news that Hot Toys brought to the event are things that we’ve already seen or known about, except with one key exception. At the event, Hot Toys displayed a slide of upcoming Iron Man 3 Hot Toys figures, including the Iron Man Heartbreaker Armor, The Mandarin, the Iron Man Igor Armor, and… the first confirmation of a Hot Toys Iron Man Silver Centurion figure!

Iron Man 3 has been “the next big Marvel movie” for so long that it’s hard to reconcile that the movie is out in theaters now, and the true next big Marvel movie is “The Wolverine”, opening July 26th, 2013! Don’t get me wrong–“The Wolverine” is going to do fairly well at the box office, but it’s not going to gross nearly as much as “Iron Man 3”, nor is it going to have a fraction of the breadth and depth of the various toy lines merchandising Iron Man 3. The extremely limited Movie Promo Iron Man 3 Hot Toys Battle-Damaged Iron Man Mark VII Movie Masterpiece Series figure is now up for order! You can order direct from Sideshow Collectibles right now. This particular figure is an unknown limited edition, but only 1400 were produced and distributed overseas, and those sold out instantly.

UPDATE: Sideshow Collectibles sold out of the Battle-Damaged Iron Man Mark VII within two hours of placing it up for pre-order. They are accepting wait list positions now, so there’s still a chance to get one if you act quickly.
