Hasbro may have left Star Wars collectors out to dry at New York Toy Fair 2015 (with nary a new figure to be found in the land!), but they seriously brought the goods this year for Marvel collectors!

Along with the two exclusive Marvel Legends multi-packs that were revealed, Hasbro showed off three full waves of previously unannounced Marvel Legends 2015 figures. And the biggest surprise of them all was the Marvel Legends Spider-Man Wave 2–with Marvel Legends Rhino Build-A-Figure!

One of my first stops at the 2015 New York Toy Fair today was the Kotobukiya booth, which I cruised into with a sparkle in my eyes and dreams of seeing the Kotobukiya X-Men ARTFX+ statues in my heart. Unfortunately, those dreams were shattered.

I had the great honor this morning of beginning the New York Toy Fair 2015 with the LEGO Preview Breakfast Event–two hours in the LEGO booth… with free danishes! Free! Of course, as delicious as the danishes were, that wasn’t the high point of the event. No, the high point was getting to see all of the summer 2015 LEGO Marvel sets in person–including the huge and awesome LEGO Marvel Rhino and Sandman Supervillain Team-Up 76037!

Hot Toys loves teasing their collectors with upcoming figures, and they’ve teased the Hot Toys Ultron figure more than most. The Ultron Hot Toys figure was supposed to be unveiled at Toy Soul 2014 back in December, but no-showed the event. Then Hot Toys sent out a teaser image of Ultron’s back–usually preamble to an impending pre-order–but then threw us a curveball by putting up Captain America and Thanos instead. But now, the Pinocchio-loving robot will finally have his day–the Hot Toys Ultron Prime figure is now up for order!

Last winter, Marvel collectors were stunned by Diamond Select Toys’ announcement of a Marvel Select Zombie Magneto figure. I remember hearing quite a bit of griping about that figure in the Marvel collecting community, but Zombie Magneto must have done pretty well for himself at retail–because DST will be giving undead Magneto a new deceased friend to play with this summer! Over the weekend, Kotobukiya revealed the full concept artwork for the upcoming Lady Deadpool Bishoujo statue.

I figured that Koto might at least be saving the official photos of the final Bishoujo Wasp prototype until after the New York Toy Fair 2015 (so that they could debut the actual Wasp statue at the event), but clearly that was not the plan: the Kotobukiya Wasp Bishoujo statue is now fully-revealed and up for order!

At the time, I predicted that these would be the two most expensive Kotobukiya Marvel ARTFX+ statues released to date–and I was right. This past week has been a huge–and expensive–week for Marvel collectors, as the official street date for boatloads of Avengers Age of Ultron toys finally arrived! But while tons of Hasbro Avengers Age of Ultron figures and collectibles have begun to stockpile on the shelves, one brand that hasn’t made its Avengers movie presence known at retail yet is LEGO. But fear not! Though the official release date for the LEGO Avengers Age of Ultron sets isn’t until March 2015, the LEGO Iron Man vs. Ultron 76029 set slipped out early and is now up for order!

A couple days ago, Kotobukiya posted a small piece of a drawing of what appeared to be Bishoujo Lady Deadpool statue concept art. I figured that that was the teaser that would lead up to Kotobukiya debuting the full concept art for Lady Deadpool at the New York Toy Fair 2015 next weekend.

But, surprise! Kotobukiya had other ideas, as they premiered the full Kotobukiya Lady Deadpool Bishoujo statue concept drawing in Japan today!
