Marvel Comics has essentially divorced itself from the upcoming Disney Big Hero 6 movie in every conceivable way. The Marvel Comics logo is absent from virtually all promotional materials and they’ve basically said that there will be no new Big Hero 6 comic books now or in the foreseeable future–not even new reprints in trade paperback form. I’ve been a Big Hero Six fan since 1998, so I’m not ready to give up on the franchise just yet (that is, not unless the Big Hero 6 movie really, really sucks). And while the Big Hero 6 toys definitely have their flaws, they have some positives worth commending as well…

This minifigure polybag is going to be of major interest to LEGO Marvel completists, because the LEGO 5002125 polybag is currently the only known way to get an Amazing Spider-Man 2 movie Electro LEGO minifigure!

Well, this is new. We’ve learned about Marvel Hot Toys Movie Masterpiece Series sixth scale figures in a variety of ways before, but I am reasonably sure that this is the first time a new Hot Toys Marvel figure has ever been revealed via… small sticker on the front of a Japanese Blu-Ray (does that make the X-Men Days of Future Past Blu-Ray a must for Hot Toys collectors? I wonder…). The Hot Toys X-Men Days of Future license was announced way back in 2013, and it looks like in 2015 Hot Toys may actually have a figure lined up for us–the Hot Toys Days of Future Past Wolverine figure!

In my eyes, Marvel Studios can just about do no wrong. But if they could do wrong, that wrong would likely be called “Thor The Dark World”. While I didn’t think that “Thor The Dark World” was bad, per se, it was definitely the lowest-quality Marvel Studios movie released thus far. Even so, there are three things I love about “Thor The Dark World” (in this order): Natalie Portman, Loki, and Thor’s new costume. Though I would have preferred the other two, Sideshow has crafted a killer new statue for one of these aspects: the Sideshow Exclusive Thor The Dark World Premium Format Figure goes up for order this week!
