Kotobukiya X-Force Deadpool ARTFX+ Statue Variant

…Well, that was fast. Kotobukiya hasn’t exactly been trying to keep it a secret that they have a grey X-Force Deadpool ARTFX+ variant statue in the works for next year, what with them openly talking about it at San Diego Comic-Con 2014 last month and showing off sneak peek photos last week. Even so, for some weird reason I thought that this variant statue wouldn’t be going up for sale for a while yet, as it was scheduled to be a store exclusive. I thought wrong! The statue will be exclusive to all retailers who use Diamond Previews, and the exclusive Kotobukiya Deadpool X-Force ARTFX+ statue variant is now up for order!

Marvel Super Hero Mashers Deadpool Figure Packaged in Box

While their collector-oriented releases for 2014 are just about at an end, Hasbro still has a plethora of kid-focused Marvel action figures lined up for the second half of 2014! The Hasbro Marvel Super Hero Mashers figures are a line that I legit thought were some sort of prank when they debuted, but their stylized look has really started to grow on me. And now I’ve ordered a pair of Marvel Mashers figures online for the first time ever. Why? Because it’s two characters I can never seem to pass on–the Marvel Mashers Deadpool and Red Hulk figures have now been released!

Titan Hero Spider-Armor Spider-Man Exclusive 12" Figure Target Hasbro 2014

If anyone had ever wanted to bet me that I’d be writing four articles about Hasbro Marvel Titan Hero figures in a one-week span, I’d be paying up right now. I promised myself that I’m not buying any of these 12″ figures and I’m sticking to it, but it’s getting a bit more difficult when Hasbro keeps bringing out obscure favorites. And the latest carrot? One of the most dopey and lovable Spider-Man costumes ever–the 12″ Spider-Armor Spider-Man Titan Hero figure!

Marvel Titan Heroes Falcon and Iron Man Released

Another of the portents of the apocalypse has come to fruition, as I’m talking about the Hasbro Marvel Titan Hero 12″ figures for the second day in a row. Marvel Titan Heroes aren’t my favorite line (not am I the target demographic), but a lot of people love them, so I want to feature them when I can. And a pretty star-studded series of Avengers Titan Hero figures have begun hitting stores this week, including Dr. Doom, Hawkeye and the Falcon!

You know how Lando Calrissian’s most famous quote (largely due to Star Wars Robot Chicken) is “This deal is getting worse all the time”? Well, today I feel like exclaiming “This deal is getting better all the time!” This morning, Hot Toys announced that they’re adding an additional bonus accessory to the Sideshow Exclusive Edition Groot & Rocket Raccoon Hot Toys figures that are currently up for pre-order–and it’s a good one! Sword Slashin' Skaar Figure Hulk Agents of SMASH

Hulk is a unique character in that he doesn’t just change his costume–he changes his entire person when he changes into different forms of himself. But not content with the one-man-army of iterations of himself, Hulk has joined a super-team composed entirely of Hulk-related characters for a currently-airing animated series–“Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H.”! The “Hulk and the Agents of SMASH” cartoon series has been running for almost a full year now and has had a successful run, and that means that Hasbro has finally deigned to give fans what they really want: toys! The first Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. figures and toys have now been released!

Spider-Man 2099 & Miles Morales Titan Figures Released!

Spider-Man 2099 Titan Hero & Miles Morales Ultimate Spider-Man Titan Hero Action Figure

One Marvel toy line that doesn’t get a lot of headlines here on Marvel Toy News is the Marvel Titan Hero figures. That’s for a couple of reasons, but primarily because the Hasbro Titan Heroes are aimed purely at children and I tend to dabble more in the collector-oriented, middle-to-high-end collectibles. That said, Hasbro has gotten my attention with their latest Ultimate Spider-Man Titan Hero figures released, because they made some very interesting character choices for a change–including the Miles Morales Ultimate Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2099!

Hasbro Ares Marvel Infinite Series Figure Axe and Sword Weapons

Ah, Ares. Fans were skeptical when the Greek God of War joined the Avengers, but Ares’ smash-and-kill go-get-’em attitude quickly won over many readers. And then Ares died the most gruesome death in the history of Marvel Comics, as he was bilaterally ripped in half by the Sentry. To commemorate that memorable event, Hasbro is finally bringing Ares to the Marvel Universe scale, as the Marvel Infinite Series Ares figure was released this summer! Is this 3 3/4″ Ares figure worth adding to your collection? Read on…

Flash Venom Marvel Legends 6 Inch Figure Exclusive

It’s been quite a journey for Agent Venom. Over the course of the past 13 months, Agent Venom has gone from one of the most-wanted modern Marvel characters for the Marvel Legends line, to the headliner of Marvel Legends Series 6, to another in a long line of “lost” Hasbro Marvel Legends figures, to a pre-sold out and potentially hard-to-find Walgreens exclusive. But at last, the 6″ Marvel Legends Agent Venom figure is on the verge of arriving, and we can take a look at the final production version of the figure…

Hot Toys Iron Man Mark 3 Die-Cast Sixth Scale Figure

At this point it feels like there are about a million Hot Toys Iron Man sixth scale figures out there, but there’s no Iron Man Hot Toys figure that’s been more in-demand and clamored for by fans than a re-release of the Iron Man Mark III from the original 2008 “Iron Man” film. Vinylmation Marvel Series 2 Spider-Man Figures Revealed

As far as Disney Vinylmation collection goes, 2014 has been the quietest year for me since Disney began the line. There haven’t been many enticing Vinylmation sets released this year, and as a result my interest has waned quite a bit. But just when I thought I might be out, Disney has pulled me back in–with a vengeance! As a sequel to last year’s best-selling Disney Vinylmation Marvel Series 1 (which now sells for a crazy $250 for a set of 12 on the aftermarket), Disney has just unveiled a new set: the Marvel Vinylmation Spider-Man Series!

Guardians of the Galaxy Yondu Sakaar Soldier Minimates Figures Set

It was fun while it lasted, but now it’s time to put the craziness of SDCC 2014 behind us and get back to business as usual–and that means new toys hitting stores! The Marvel Minimates Guardians of the Galaxy figures series is running late, and won’t make it into stores in time for the movie… or so we thought! While perusing my local Toys R Us, I did a double-take when I walked past their exclusive blue-skinned, red-mohawked figure, accompanied by (most) all his friends! The Guardians of the Galaxy Minimates figures have now been released, including the exclusive Yondu figure!
