Play Arts Kai Marvel has had a good ride, with the series lasting longer and going deeper character-wise than anybody expected. But this time, I think the end may really be nigh. Not just for Marvel Play Arts Kai—but largely for PAK as a whole! For the first time since the heyday of Play Arts Kai, Square-Enix didn’t reveal a single new PAK from any line at SDCC 2018. The sheer volume and number of Hot Toys Iron Man sixth scale figures released has become a bit of a running jokes with Hot Toys collectors. At this point, I couldn’t even begin to tell you how many dozens have been released, or even how many of them I own (it’s a lot). When Hot Toys made a T’Chaka Black Panther sixth scale figure one of their summer convention exclusives, it seemed like a pretty audacious and out-of-left-field pick.
