Alongside the annual SDCC Exclusive Marvel Legends 6″ figures box set, Hasbro usually has one more exclusive goodie for Marvel collectors. Sometimes it’s a 3.75″ Marvel Universe-scaled exclusive (like that awesome The Collector’s Vault set with Lockjaw!), and sometimes it’s a 12″ figure (like Daredevil). But this year, it’s something we haven’t gotten before as a Comic-Con Exclusive. The first-ever SDCC Exclusive Marvel Legends life-size replica: the electronic Tesseract–plus a 6″ Red Skull from Captain America: The First Avenger!

Continue Reading →When rumors started circulating that one of this year’s Hot Toys 2018 Toy Fair Exclusives was going to be a Black and White Captain America, a lot of folks (including me!) thought it sounded like hogwash. But looks like we underestimated Hot Toys’ resourcefulness when it comes to variants, because they actually came up with a B&W Cap that makes sense and is pretty desirable: the limited EXCLUSIVE Hot Toys Concept Art Captain America is now up for order!
Continue Reading →For the first time in almost five months, there was no Marvel Studios movie in the Top 10 films at the box office over the weekend. The streak… is over. But not to fear—! Marvel Studios is set to retake their crown with Ant-Man and the Wasp hits theaters this week! And to celebrate the arrival of a sequel many folks would’ve probably bet against ever happening, Hot Toys has got the goods for sixth scale collectors: brand-new Hot Toys Wasp and Ant-Man figures are now up for order!
Continue Reading →June 2018 was one of the more expensive months ever for Marvel Legends collectors, with three full wave of Marvel Legends going up for sale including X-Men, Spider-Man and Venom series. But don’t take a deep breath and think you’re getting a break just yet, because Hasbro has more goodness lined up: the Deadpool Marvel Legends Sauron Series including Bishop, X-23 Wolverine, Omega Red and more is now up for order!
Continue Reading →Hasbro has done an increasingly good job over the past few years in producing more of the important characters from the various Marvel Cinematic Universe movies, but there are quite a few characters that fell through the cracks. Luckily, Hasbro is giving many collectors what they want and filling in the gaps! We got a first round of POs in the winter and here comes round 2: the Marvel Studios Legends Ant-Man & Yellowjacket, Red Skull, Thor & Lady Sif are now up for order!
Continue Reading →Believe it or not, San Diego Comic Con 2018 begins in under one month! Even so, we hadn’t heard am official peep regarding this year’s Hasbro Marvel Legends exclusives. At least—not until today! After accidentally leaking the set last week, this morning the Hollywood Reporter posted the first official look at the Marvel Legends Netflix Defenders Box Set including the first Netflix Colleen Wing and Iron Fist figures!

Continue Reading →Continuing to recap the cornucopia of new Avengers Infinity War toys and statues that have gone up for order this month, today I’m looking at one of the newer companies on my radar. Iron Studios has gone to the Avengers Infinity War well more than any other statue maker thus far with not one, not two, not three, not four, but FIVE new statues from the movie solicited in the past month: the Infinity War Iron Studios Captain America, Falcon, War Machine, Thor and Winter Soldier statues are all up for order now!
Continue Reading →While Avengers Infinity War will go down as one of the most legendary superhero team-up movies in history, it didn’t just feature many beloved existing characters interacting—it also introduced some significant new villains to non-comic book readers in the form of Thanos’ Black Order. Proxima Midnight was the sole representative in the first wave of Infinity War Marvel Legends, but she’s got some large help now. The Marvel Legends Cull Obsidian Build-A-Figure is on the scene and selling for $60+ on the aftermarket: is it worth building this big boy?
Continue Reading →Marvel Legends Infinity War Wave 2 is a pretty weird series, as the set is split three ways between characters from the comics and the Ant-Man and the Wasp and Avengers Infinity War movies. But not only is the Cull Obsidian Series an unusually eclectic mix—it’s also been unusually hard to find in stores. And among the harder figures to come by is the one new comic book-based figures in the wave: Marvel Legends Black Knight…
Continue Reading →SDCC 2018 is less than a month away, and while many of the major Marvel exclusives for the show are being officially announced a bit later than we’ve become accustomed to, at long last they’re finally rolling out. And this year, I believe The King of Exclusives is setting their own new personal best with a record ten Marvel exclusives, including POPs of MCU Iron Man Mark I, Classic Ant-Man, Kraglin (!!) and… Taika Waititi?!?
Continue Reading →Diamond Select Toys is expanding their range of Marvel statues faster than any other company in the collecting landscape, and that trend continues the latest round of solicitations. After unveiling their first-ever Marvel 1:2 (half-scale) bust in the spring with a very impressive Deadpool, DST has their second entry ready to launch: the Marvel Venom Bust is now up for order! But those who prefer their traditional full statue resin offerings to busts aren’t left out in the cold, as Premier Collection Lady Deadpool is on the scene as well…
Continue Reading →Avengers Infinity War may ultimately be the biggest superhero movie of all-time, but there’s still plenty of love for this year’s other two MCU movies. And so, fresh off the DVD release of Black Panther and in anticipation of next month’s theatrical release of Ant-Man and the Wasp, the latest trio of Diamond Select Toys Marvel Gallery PVC figures are all in honor of those “other” movies: the Marvel Gallery Ant-Man, Wasp and Shuri statues are now up for order!
Continue Reading →UPDATE (6/18/2018): For those who missed out on the life-size Marvel Legends Star-Lord Helmet last year and have been kicking themselves ever since because of the crazy $150-$200+ aftermarket prices it’s been selling for lately, you’re in luck–Amazon has put some leftovers of the electronic Star-Lord helmet back up for sale at the original $99 MSRP! I haven’t heard anything about this helmet getting a full reissue from Hasbro, so this may well be the last chance to grab this for a decent price if you need it!
