Marvel Legends Thunderbolts Punisher Variant Figure 2013

After the unexpected announcement of the SDCC 2013 Thunderbolts Marvel Legends box set exclusives, I sort of doubted I’d be hearing anything else about Marvel’s Thunderbolts any time soon. Turns out I was mistaken, though, as the very next Hasbro 6″ Marvel Legends 2013 figure to be revealed appears to be another Thunderbolts figure–but from a different iteration of the Thunderbolts entirely. To the surprise of absolutely everyone, it’s… a Marvel Legends Thunderbolts Punisher Variant…?!

Some startling news for Hasbro 6″ Marvel Legends collectors was discovered in the Toys section of the new July 2013 Previews Magazine (Issue 298). In what I believe is a first for Hasbro’s Marvel brand, the Wolverine Legends Marvel Legends series is apparently going to be a Previews exclusive.

Deadpool Corps SDCC 2013 Exclusive Set Taco Van Packaging

Hasbro might have thought they were fooling someone by releasing information on all of the Hasbro San Diego Comic-Con exclusives yesterday except one, but their attempted surprise was more than a little spoiled by the fact that we had already seen and reported on the Marvel Universe Lady Deadpool, Kidpool, Dogpool, and Championpool figures last week.

Luckily for us, there were still some juicy details we didn’t know, and it turns out that the now confirmed Marvel Universe Deadpool Corps SDCC 2012 Exclusive Figure Set may actually be the “tastiest” exclusive at all of Comic-Con…

The newest Iron Man 3 Marvel Legends figure to have leaked photos show up online: a gold Ultron variant of the silver Ultron from Iron Man Legends Series 2! Wolverine Movie Action Figures by Hasbro Revealed!

Hasbro The Wolverine Movie Silver Samurai Action Figure

Iron Man 3 has been “the next big Marvel movie” for so long that it’s hard to reconcile that the movie is out in theaters now, and the true next big Marvel movie is “The Wolverine”, opening July 26th, 2013! Don’t get me wrong–“The Wolverine” is going to do fairly well at the box office, but it’s not going to gross nearly as much as “Iron Man 3”, nor is it going to have a fraction of the breadth and depth of the various toy lines merchandising Iron Man 3. Even so, Hasbro is putting out some The Wolverine figures to commemorate the movie. But having seen the prototypes now, I kind of wish they weren’t…

2013 Marvel Legends Classic Hawkeye Action Figure

Ever since Hasbro Marvel Legends Series 5 was announced at Toy Fair (2013 Marvel Legends Series 2), I’ve been intrigued about how Hasbro was going to determine the case-pack. Counting variants, there are 9 different figures in the series, so it was entirely possible we’d get Marvel Legends cases with up to 8 different new figures in them. Today, all that guessing came to an end, as retailers were officially allowed to reveal the Marvel Legends 2013 Wave 2 case ratios. And, well.. the case assortment is pretty terrible…

2013 Marvel Legends Figures Wave 5 Preview & Photos

Jim Lee Jean Grey Marvel Legends Figure 2013

With “Iron Man 3” being the media’s darling and at the forefront of everyone’s minds, the main Hasbro Marvel Legends line has really gotten a little bit ignored the past few months.

I needed a break from talking about Iron Man, though, so I figured I’d stop and give my thoughts and commentary on the figures coming up in the second Marvel Legends series of 2013: Marvel Legends Wave 5–the Build-A-Rocket Raccoon set…

Iron Man 3 Marvel Legends Series 2 Figures Preview!

2013 Marvel Legends Ultron Action Figure Iron Man Hasbro

Amongst the landslide of new products being released this spring for the Iron Man 3 movie, it would be pretty easy to completely lose sight of a few lines being released. One that shouldn’t be forgotten about, however, is Hasbro’s awesome line of Iron Man 3 Marvel Legends figures. Though the first half of the six-figure Hasbro set didn’t include any actual figures from the Iron Man 3 movie, the Marvel Legends Iron Man Series 2 assortment is composed of the two most recognizable armors from the film, and one of the most requested non-Iron Man robots ever for the Marvel Legends line…
