Spider-Man Homecoming is still more than five months away from hitting theaters, but the hype for the movie and the demand for toys is already starting to build! And so, this week Hasbro announced their non-Marvel Legends Spider-Man Homecoming 6″ figures, along with some surprising larger items: not only is Spidey getting a new race car, but the Hasbro Spider-Man Homecoming movie toys will include not one, but two big 6″ scale figure playsets!

My recent resolve to cut back on collecting 1/4 scale statues for spatial and monetary reasons melted away like butter confronted by the Human Torch last month when Prime-1 Studio announced their new line of 1/4 Marvel statues. P1 claimed all of my Sideshow Rewards (and a six month payment plan) from me for their Spider-Man 2099 statue last month, and now their second statue has arrived: the Prime-1 Studio Anti-Venom statue is now up for order!

Earlier this week I previewed Gentle Giant’s smaller and less expensive alternative to Sideshow’s amazing–and astronomically priced–Venom Premium Format Figure. And now, it’s the other most popular Symbiote on the planet’s turn: Carnage! Kotobukiya adds its first villain to the 1:10 Spider-Man statue series with Cletus Kassidy–the Kotobukiya Carnage ARTFX+ statue is now up for order! Those used to the super-low cost of Marvel ARTFX+ figures past may be a mite surprised by the price, though…

Last week, collectors jaws dropped and their wallets trembled at the beautiful sight of the Sideshow Collectibles’ Venom Premium Format Figure. As beautiful as that figure may be, though, not everyone has $600+ to blow on one. But for those who love Venom and also love not being broken, there is an alternative–the Gentle Giant Venom statue is now up for order! And hey, if you opt for this Marvel Collectors Gallery Venom statue over the Sideshow version, you may even have some cash left to buy some new Spider-Man bookends…

Need more proof that we’re living in a true Golden Age for Marvel toys and collectibles? How about the fact that an alternate universe Spider-Man can have his first appearance, take part in a couple stories and then an amazing super-articulated action figure in our hands in just over two years? Though he’s still slightly obscure and available for below MSRP online, the Hasbro Marvel Legends Spider-UK turns out to be a surprisingly awesome action figure…

Of all the characters in the first wave of Spider-Man Marvel Legends 2017 figures, none of them are getting anywhere near the amount of hype as the new inheritor of the name Ms. Marvel–Kamala Khan! The Pakistani-American superheroine has had plenty of buzz around her since she got her powers two years ago, and the time has come for her first articulated action figure! But while Marvel Legends Kamala Khan selling for a mint right now online, is she also a risky purchase…?

I had been planning on today’s Marvel Legends review being the new 6″ Kamala Khan Ms. Marvel figure, but those plans went off the rails when Kamala’s arm peg broke in half at the elbow. And so, while I hunt for a Ms. Marvel replacement, the former Marvel Universe 3.75″ line gets the spotlight instead tonight! The 4″ Marvel Legends Morbius is currently marked down to $3 online from his $12.99 MSRP, but is this figure really all that bad…?

Earlier this month, my future wallet had a heart attack when it was announced at Tokyo Comic Con 2016 that Prime 1 Studio would be creating 1/4 Marvel statues, starting with Spider-Man 2099 and Anti-Venom. While I hoped to have a good long time to save up before the pre-order, it looks like that’s just not to be. Not only have the glorious official photos been posted, but Prime 1 Studio has confirmed it–the Sideshow Exclusive Prime 1 Spider-Man 2099 Statue is now up for order!

It doesn’t happen every year, but this winter we’ve been lucky enough for some stores to start receiving the first wave of 2017 Marvel Legends figures before the new year even rolls around! And since I’ve been so blessed as to track down every figure in the wave early, I’d be remiss if I didn’t devote some time to a review of the Build-A-Figure before the holidays. And so, though he isn’t the first Marvel Legends Sandman figure ever, the Sandman Build-A-Figure is definitely the best…

Kotobukiya has been rolling out pre-orders for characters in their new 1/10 ARTFX+ Spider-Man statues series since summer, but finally it’s time for the first figure in the line of a character not endowed with radioactive spider-powers! He’s Spidey’s biggest fan on top of being the military’s top super-powered agent, and now he’s getting his very first statue–the Kotobukiya Agent Venom ARTFX+ statue is now up for order!
