Here I thought that I had discussed all of the new Marvel Legends shown in my New York Toy Fair 2017 coverage last weekend, when I flipped through my photos today and realized I never talked about a trio that didn’t debut at the show. Not only did Hasbro bring the soon-to-be-shipping Marvel Legends 12″ Deadpool to show off at Toy Fair, but they also had the recently-revealed 12″ Thor and 14.5″ Hulk there. While I was at Target this morning hysterically tossing the new X-Men Marvel Legends figures into my basket, I caught a glimpse of something out of the corner of my eye that it took my brain a moment to comprehend. Though I hadn’t heard any reports about them hitting stores yet, the Marvel Universe scale 3.75″ Marvel Legends 2017 Wave 1 figures were all in-stock and in front of my face, including X-23 Wolverine, Moon Knight, Maestro and more!

While the staff and photographers of the biggest Marvel toy news sites across the world (and me) were all congregating in New York City last weekend for New York Toy Fair 2017, a pretty crazy thing happened–and I mean crazy. Just when I thought it was safe to go to bed, Hasbro sent out even more images of upcoming 2017 Marvel Legends figures that weren’t on display today at New York Toy Fair 2017! These don’t come as entirely a surprise, as I already saw these figures during the Hasbro Media Event slideshow this afternoon, but we weren’t allowed to photograph the figures at the event. But hey, maybe that’s for the best, because there’s no way our meager photography could look nearly as good as these hi-res official photos of the 2017 Marvel Legends Human Torch, Mary Jane and Ultimate Vulture vs. Spider-Man sets!

I’m not one to put any stock in leaked UPC lists, but when the Hasbro Marvel Legends Ex Nihilo figure was announced last night, that pretty much sealed the deal that the list of 2017 Marvel Legends Guardians of the Galaxy Wave 2 figures that had been circulating for weeks was the real deal and not just a rumor. And at the Hasbro Brand Toy Fair 2017 event today, we got official confirmation and also our first look at the rest of GOTG Marvel Legends Wave 2–including Nebula, Baby Groot and the Mantis Build-A-Figure!

First the Marvel Legends Star-Lord Helmet and Mjolnir Hammer Prop Replicas went up for order a day earlier than announced, and now we’re getting our first New York Toy Fair 2017 Marvel Legends figure reveal a night before the 2017 Toy Fair even begins! Some Marvel fans who haven’t read comics may need to bust out their “Google Fu” skills, because the first Hasbro reveal of the show is the 6″ Marvel Legends Ex Nihilo figure from Guardians of the Galaxy Wave 2!

When the estimated release date on the 2017 Marvel Legends Guardians of the Galaxy Wave 1 figures shifted from February to March 2017, the hearts of plenty of folks (including me) dropped. But it’s time to put on a happy face and bust out the noisemakers, because the Marvel Legends GOTG figures have arrived earlier than expected! My case of ML GOTG Wave 1 shipped yesterday from EE, other online retailers like BBTS and Amazon should be receiving their figures shortly, and the first store chain the series has shown up at is… Walgreens?!
