Hot Toys Thanos Ultron Hulkbuster Iron Man Announced

A combination of being super-sick and super-busy has left me super-behind on covering the latest Marvel Hot Toys news from the past couple of days, but now it’s time to catch up on some of the biggest Hot Toys announcements in quite some time. While many toy and collectible companies are quieting down now and keeping their upcoming products under wraps until the New York Toy Fair 2015 in February, Hot Toys is closing out 2014 in a huge way–with the impending debuts of the heavily-demanded Hot Toys Ultron, Hot Toys Thanos and Hot Toys Hulkbuster Iron Man sixth scale figures!

Funko Hikari Groot Planet X Exclusive Vinyl Figure Packaged

Back in October, Funko shocked the Funko Hikari Sofubi Vinyl collecting world when they unveiled a whole display case of Funko Hikari Groot vinyl figures at New York Comic Con 2014. We didn’t have long to wait until the first one went up for pre-order the following week, but that was another shocker, as Funko announced the edition size on the standard Groot Hikari figure as 5000–by far the single largest run of any Hikari. It seems like Funko has come back down to Earth for their first Groot variant, though–the Funko Hikari Planet X Groot figure is limited to just 1000 and now up for order!

Funko Metallic Magneto POP Vinyls Figure

Earlier this week, Funko dropped the bombshell that the first-ever exclusive Funko POP! Vinyls wave of unique characters was coming to Walgreens in January 2015, containing Venom, Spider-Man 2099, Black Suit Spider-Man and the Punisher. But if highly popular characters as retailer exclusives at a drug store is just too much excitement for you to handle, have no fear–plain old variants are coming to the rescue: a previously-unannounced Metallic Magneto Funko POP Vinyls figure has now been spotted!

Marvel Legends Avengers Infinite Series 1 Scarlet Witch Action Figure

I get a handful of people messaging me each and every week asking when the 2015 Marvel Legends Avengers figures series will be going up for order. Unfortunately, Hasbro hasn’t allowed retailers to open pre-orders yet for the series (and likely won’t until closer to the new year). That said, while you can’t order them just yet, thanks to a series of auctions listed by a Hong Kong scrapper, we can get our first look at some stolen/discarded factory samples of the Avengers Marvel Legends Infinite Series coming our way this winter!

Hot Rod Iron Man Die-Cast Hot Toys Movie Masterpiece Series Figure

Hot Toys has managed to take us totally off-guard with many surprise announcements over the course of this year. But their latest product reveal has been, well… not exactly a closely-guarded secret. Starting at San Diego Comic Con 2014 and continuing throughout the summer and fall, Hot Toys has been “sneakily” leaving an Iron Man 3 Hot Rod Iron Man Hot Toys figure in the display cases at most of the events that they’ve exhibited at. I guess there was always the slight possibility that this figure was just on display to taunt us with what we cannot have–but no more: The exclusive Hot Toys Hot Rod Iron Man Die-Cast figure is now up for order!

Funko POP Vinyls Black Suit Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2099

Last month, unpainted prototypes surfaced for a pair of previously unannounced Funko POP Vinyls figures that made me think that a Funko Spider-Man POP! Vinyls wave was in our near-future. And as it so happens, I was right–Funko officially announced a quartet of new 2015 Funko Marvel POP! Vinyls today! Of course, there is a little twist. See, this is going to be an exclusive wave of Funko POP Vinyls, and it’s not going to one of the usual retailer suspects like Target or Walmart: it’s the Walgreens Exclusive Funko Spider-Man 2099, Venom, Punisher, and Black Suit Spider-Man POP Vinyls!

The update includes four Marvel Hot Toys sixth scale figures (that are still available for order), some of which we’ve been waiting for for close to a year and a half! Marvel Minimates Infinity Box Set Thanos Thane Armored Hulk Space Captain America

Earlier today I posted about the surprise set of Marvel Minimates Wave 19 Toys R Us Exclusive figures that’s going to be released later this month–but those aren’t the only new Marvel figures Diamond Select Toys has lined up for us before the end of the year! Way back in May 2014, DST held a vote to determine the four figures who would appear in the Marvel Minimates Infinity Box Set. The set went off-the-radar following the vote, but now Diamond Select has not only revealed the winning characters today–but the figure set itself has already begun to start hitting stores!

Toys R Us Minimates Series 19 Marvel Now Vision and Quicksilver Figures

2014 has been an unusually heavy year for fans of movie-based Marvel Minimates, as the year has been positively crammed with Amazing Spider-Man 2, Guardians of the Galaxy, X-Men Days of Future Past and Captain America The Winter Soldier Marvel Minimates movie figures. Consequently, we’ve gotten far fewer comic book-based Marvel Minimates this year. But out of nowhere and totally unexpectedly, Diamond Select Toys has swept in with a final set of 2014 Toys R Us Exclusive Marvel Minimates Wave 19 figures–including favorites like Quicksilver, Vision and Mysterio!

Gentle Giant Black Widow Statue Close Up Captain America The Winter Soldier

2014 has been a mixed bag for Marvel statue collectors, as the original Marvel statue producer, Bowen Designs, exited Marvel statue production (possibly forever), while newcomers like XM Studios and Gentle Giant Ltd. entered the fray. No one was sure to expect when Gentle Giant announced their first Marvel Cinematic Universe statues in late 2013, but the Gentle Giant Captain America: The Winter Soldier Black Widow 18″ statue has now arrived, and the verdict is in: this statue is spectacular…

Funko Hikari Metal Mix Spider-Man Vinyl Figure

If there’s one thing out there that adult collectors love, it’s nonsensical variants of main characters like Spider-Man and Batman (right…?). Dabid Wearing Rocket Raccoon Costume Hoodie

“When it comes to collecting, I know no shame” is my motto. And it’s a good thing that it is, too–because if I did know shame, I probably wouldn’t have been able to take photos to review today’s Rocket Raccoon product. No, it’s not a new Rocket Raccoon action figure, vinyl, LEGO, or even plush toy. This is for the truly hardcore Rocket Raccoon fan–the one who doesn’t care what anyone else thinks or what it costs to look like their favorite character: the I Am Rocket Raccoon Costume Hoodie by We Love Fine costs over $70–is it worth more than you’ve probably ever spent on a sweatshirt?
