Though much of the focus on Kotobukiya at San Diego Comic Con 2013 was focused on their upcoming Avengers Marvel NOW ARTFX+ statues, the Kotobukiya Fine Arts statues line made itself known with two brand new 1/6 scale statues.

San Diego Comic Con 2013 has come and gone now, and while I’m extremely pleased with most of what was shown for Marvel figures (for the most part), one line that I felt a little let down by was the usually awesome Diamond Select Toys Marvel Select display. That’s not to say the 2013 SDCC Marvel Select display was a total loss. Though DST didn’t show anything previously unannounced at SDCC 2013, they did debut the movie Thor 2 Marvel Select figures of Thor and Jane Foster from “Thor: The Dark World”!

Though the “Iron Man 3” movie wasn’t quite the most well-loved Marvel Studios movie to date (except to me–I loved it more than any other Marvel movie, bar “Avengers), Hasbro is moving forward with a third series of Iron Man Marvel Legends in Fall 2013 regardless. This is going to be a rather controversial wave, however, as it contains an armor not seen in “Iron Man 3”, a villain (of a sort) who’s the subject of more hatred toward Marvel Studios than any other character ever from the movies, and a character who’s not (exactly) in the movies at all…
