If some hoodlum ever stopped me on the street and demanded at gunpoint to know what my favorite line was that I saw among the hundreds of new toys at the 2015 Toy Fair in February, I’d be able to answer without much thought all all: Funko Hikari. And while most of the Hikari at the show that caught my eye were Star Wars-themed, a whole assortment of Hulks debuted there as well. I’m very fond of Marvel Toy News’ track record of only having reported news that’s ended up being 100% true since the site’s inception, so I tend to err on the side of caution with what gets reported here. As such, when a totally unannounced Marvel Legends 5-Pack consisting entirely of old molds turned up in an auction listing–on April Fools’ Day–I hesitated to report it. The king of exclusive figures is at it once again! This week, photos leaked out of the Phillipines of a variety of announced–and unannounced–exclusive Funko POP Vinyls figures scheduled to be released this spring. Some of these are figures that we had heard rumors of, and some of them are totally unexpected. But on the Marvel side of things, we’re now able to see three exclusive variant Funko Marvel POP Vinyl figures for the first time: Black Costume Storm, Unmasked Cyclops and Captain America Unmasked!

While Funko has traditionally kept their comic book movie lines of POP Vinyl figures reasonably small, after the runaway success of last year’s Guardians of the Galaxy POP! Vinyls, Funko has started to think big! As such, even though the movie isn’t even out yet, Funko already has twelve Avengers Age of Ultron POP Vinyls figures either already in stores or on the way! After Iron Man 3 came out and introduced 36 new Iron Man armor permutations, it seemed like Hot Toys might not have to ever think up a non-canonical movie design for Iron Man ever again. The days of Disney Vinylmation collecting may be coming to an end. Disney has virtually eliminated all trading at the Disney Parks, and the number of series and limited-edition sets coming out this year is a meager fraction of what we’ve seen in past years. But one Vinylmation series that still seems to be strong and fervently-collected is the Vinylmation Marvel series! And before the Vinylmation Avengers series hits this summer, Disney has a surprise LE set lined up for us next month: Vinylmation Red Hulk and Red She-Hulk!

As far as I’m concerned, Peter Parker’s OTP is with Gwen Stacy. But if Gwen were to be dead (and she usually is), then I would have no problem getting together with my next-favorite Spider-Man related female: Felicia Hardy, the Black Cat. And then, suddenly–thunder strikes!–and Diamond Select Toys has inundated with them. Ever since toy manufacturers began revealing the lineups for their Avengers: Age of Ultron toys, collectors have been complaining about the lack of Scarlet Witch, Vision and Quicksilver figures. We’re getting LEGO and Minimates versions of all three, as well as comics-based Marvel Legends Vision and Scarlet Witch figures. Quicksilver has really gotten the bum’s rush, however. But now you can rejoice, collectors–because Hasbro has finally released the Quicksilver action figure we’ve all been waiting for: the Titan Hero Quicksilver figure has now been released!

Sideshow Collectibles must have decided that today was a slow day and it needed shaking up, because Sideshow hit up collectors today with a huge surprise: an in-stock and ready-to-ship, totally unannounced, exclusive White Black Widow Premium Format Figure stature variant–limited to just 200 pieces produced! While it’s not the most limited Marvel Premium Format statue ever released, it’s certainly among the shortest runs.
