Slowly but surely, the last 2013 Hasbro Marvel figures are finding their way to retail! Though the Wolverine Legends Puck Series of Marvel Legends 6″ figures missed the theatrical release of “The Wolverine” movie by two months, this series of Wolverine Marvel Legends figures never really had anything to do with the movie to begin with (other than the fact that Wolverine stars in both). While Hasbro brought a decent number of new figures to their NYCC 2013 press event to reveal for their 2014 Marvel Legends Spider-Man and Amazing Spider-Man action figure lines, the amount of new product they had to show for next year’s Captain America push was comparatively low. Even so, there was some neat stuff to be had, such as newly-announced figures for the Marvel Legends Captain America Infinite Series 2014–including the Mandroid Build-A-Figure!

I wasn’t expecting a whole lot of news to come out from the NYCC 2013 Hasbro Press Event (after all, if there’s a lot of new product to show, why not have a panel at New York Comic Con itself or at least an exhibitor’s booth set up?). To my surprise, Hasbro debuted a significant number of never-seen-before Hasbro Marvel figures, including a series that just may be my favorite 6″ line of next year.

New York Comic Con 2013: No Hasbro Marvel Action Figures Panel

A lot of fans who attended this year’s Hasbro Marvel action figures panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2013 were pretty disappointed in the feel of the panel and number of reveals contained within. Well, as big of a let down as that SDCC Marvel Toys panel may have been, it’s not nearly as big a bummer as the Hasbro Marvel panel at New York Comic Con 2013–because it appears that there isn’t going to be a panel for attendees at all…

Over the course of the last month, I’ve talked about the highs of Marvel Legends Wave 6 (Black Panther and The Wrecker) and the lows of the set (like Jim Lee Jean Grey) in my series of Marvel Legends 2013 figure reviews. So it seems pretty fitting that I end the series of reviews with the figure from the set that’s the most in the middle of the road as neither especially good nor particularly bad. Iron Man Marvel Legends Series 3 in Fall 2013 – Mandarin, Pepper!

Though the “Iron Man 3” movie wasn’t quite the most well-loved Marvel Studios movie to date (except to me–I loved it more than any other Marvel movie, bar “Avengers), Hasbro is moving forward with a third series of Iron Man Marvel Legends in Fall 2013 regardless. This is going to be a rather controversial wave, however, as it contains an armor not seen in “Iron Man 3”, a villain (of a sort) who’s the subject of more hatred toward Marvel Studios than any other character ever from the movies, and a character who’s not (exactly) in the movies at all…

UPDATE: Hasbro has confirmed via photos that the Pepper Potts Rescue figure can wear her helmet. Photo added to the article–she looks great!

Although San Diego Comic Con 2013 Preview Night won’t begin for a few hours yet, news is already starting to emerge from the convention halls! If you’re like me, you were probably expecting that Hasbro would hang onto the secret of their next series of Marvel Legends until their panel later in the show, but nope! Front and center, on display behind glass for Preview Night of SDCC 2013, it’s this fall’s upcoming 2013 Marvel Legends Series 3 (Wave 6) series, featuring Agent Venom, Jubilee and more!

After the unexpected announcement of the SDCC 2013 Thunderbolts Marvel Legends box set exclusives, I sort of doubted I’d be hearing anything else about Marvel’s Thunderbolts any time soon. Turns out I was mistaken, though, as the very next Hasbro 6″ Marvel Legends 2013 figure to be revealed appears to be another Thunderbolts figure–but from a different iteration of the Thunderbolts entirely.
