Although Hasbro has long reigned supreme in the realm of 6″ Marvel figures with the legendary Marvel Legends line, the brand faced its first major rival last year in the form of Bandai’s SH Figuarts Avengers Age of Ultron figures.
And in 2016, Bandai is back for another super-articulated figure lineup for this summer’s hottest upcoming movie, kicked off with the titular character: the SH Figuarts Captain America Civil War figure goes up for sale next week!

A couple weeks back, Funko went and announced a whole plethora of new Deadpool figures for 2016 in honor of the impending Deadpool movie. But if you thought that that was all the love that Funko was planning to give Wade Wilson this winter, you thought wrong! There are at least a half-dozen more Deadpool POP! When the chibi-styled LEGO Star Wars Micro-Fighters first hit stores in 2014, initial reactions to the cutesy take on classic Star Wars vehicles was a bit mixed (to say the least). But the low-priced Micro-Fighters sets found their footing and have become a consistent top-seller for LEGO–so much so that now the style is expanding to other licenses! I imagine that these 2016 LEGO Marvel Mighty Micros sets are going to be a but, uh… controversial… but no one can say they’re not “unique”, that’s for sure!

There’s likely to be a little less Marvel Toy News this week than usual, as merchandisers (and collectors!) are temporarily distracted by the impending release of some big movie (apparently, there’s been an awakening). Well, we knew this day would come, and it finally has. After debuting their first three Marvel 1/6th scale figures in July 2014, finally–finally–all three Sideshow Marvel Comics sixth scale figures will have gone up for order as of today.
Deadpool arrived in the fall and Punisher was solicited back in October–and now, the circle is complete! The homicidal-looking Berserker Rage-enthralled Sideshow Exclusive Wolverine Sixth Scale figure is now up for order!

As I was getting ready for bed last night at my usual 4AM bedtime, I glanced at my Facebook Newsfeed briefly and was a bit taken aback to see a post by Hot Toys with a mega-sized image of Deadpool’s mask on it. The teaser photo’s accompanying text gave collectors the news that many have been praying for: an official Hot Toys Deadpool sixth scale figure is being released next year! But wait! We didn’t just get an announcement that Wade was coming–at today’s Toy Soul 2015 event overseas, the Deadpool Hot Toys figure was officially revealed!
