I’m already heavily invested in several Marvel vinyl figure lines (primarily Funko POP Vinyls, Hikari, Dorbz and Disney Vinylmation), so I’ve tried to steer clear of buying many of the Hot Toys Cosbaby Marvel figures.
But, well, sometimes there’s a release that’s just plain irresistible, and the newest addition to the line fits that bill to a ‘D’: the Hot Toys Deadpool Cosbaby figure goes up for order this week!

As most of you have no doubt heard, a “Confidential”-stamped image of the unannounced Hasbro 2016 Marvel Legends Captain America Civil War Wave 2 series leaked out yesterday, spoiling the upcoming Marvel Legends Giant-Man Build-A-Figure Series. I won’t be posting that image here, but I will post hi-res photos of all the figures in the wave from New York Toy Fair 2016 on 2/13, less than two weeks from now. But while I’m not going to talk about Wave 2, how about we discuss a series that hasn’t had any images leak yet: Captain America Legends Wave 3, headlined by a movie Scarlet Witch, Crossbones, Tigra and more…

Just when we all thought that Hasbro had produced every feasible, viable iteration of Captain America in action figure form, Hasbro hit us with a version nobody was expecting: Werewolf Captain America!
Some collectors thought we were being punked when the Marvel Legends Cap-Wolf was first shown, but this is no prank: the Captain America Legends Cap-Wolf figure is now available, and he’s a fun (if not flawed) addition to the line…

Ordinarily I’m not a Monday person, but when Diamond Select Toys announced that two new comics-based Marvel Select figures would be revealed on Monday, February 1st 2016, I knew that this Monday was gonna be a good one–and so it is! After DST announced there was no Black Panther in the Civil War movie line, I knew it was a matter of time until a comics Black Panther was announced. And now he has been–the exclusive Marvel Select Black Panther figure is now up for order… and he’s brought a new Avenging Captain America with him!

“My” golden age of comic books (AKA my teenage years) was the 1990’s, so I’ve got a special place in my heart for Onslaught, the villain so powerful he was able to kill Captain America, Iron Man, the Fantastic Four and the Avengers. The Red Skull became the new Onslaught in 2014’s (awful) “Axis” crossover, and now Hasbro is bringing us 2014’s most important villain! You’ll have to buy all seven Captain America Marvel Legends 2016 figures to build the Red Onslaught Build-A-Figure… but is he worth it?

“Scourge” is a name that tends to evoke two distinct reactions from various Marvel fans: terror or “Huh?”. A mercenary who primarily kills super-villains, Scourge is a fan-favorite character of longtime Captain America readers and one of the most efficient villain-killers in Marvel Universe history. Those who aren’t big Cap fans, on the other hand… may have never heard of this guy. Even so, the Marvel Legends Scourge figure is now up for order, and if you’re gonna build a Red Onslaught Build-A-Figure, then you’re gonna buy him! And luckily, he’s probably the best figure in the whole wave…

After Funko announced close to two dozen Captain America: Civil War POP Vinyls and Dorbz less earlier this month, it seemed like Funko had played its full hand as far as their merchandise for the movie went. But nope–they still had at least one more lineup of movie tie-ins up their sleeve, which they’ve kicked off this last week of January 2016 by announcing. And this set includes the most huggable Crossbones and Black Panther toys ever–the Funko Civil War Mopeez are now up for order!

If I was a patient man, I’d probably have been content with my online order for the Marvel Legends Red Onslaught series which was scheduled to ship in two weeks. But I am not, and I was not.
And so, I drove around like a crazy person for three hours this morning and finally hit the jackpot, completing the entire wave in one morning. My 2016 Captain America Legends reviews begin right now: with the hotly-awaited Marvel Legends Taskmaster figure!

Traditionally, LEGO doesn’t allow photography of its licensed summer sets until the New York Toy Fair that takes place in February. But some traditions are made to be broken, and at the Nuremberg Toy Fair 2016, TLG is allowing photography of three out of the four summer 2016 LEGO Marvel sets for the very first time! It looks like it’ll be at least a few weeks before we see the Doctor Strange set, but the Spider-Man sets (including Scorpion, Spider-Woman, Kraven, Vulture, Scarlet Spider and more!) are looking mighty fine…

While most of the merchandising companies out there manufacturing Marvel movie collectibles are now looking ahead to the future and “Captain America: Civil War”, I was taken aback a little bit this week when I saw that Medicom is actually looking backwards by soliciting an “Avengers: Age of Ultron” figure that’s arriving a wee bit late: the MAFEX Iron Man Mark 45 goes up for order this week! This figure really does look terrific and has a couple neat things in his favor, but he’s also late to the show and carrying a heavy price-tag…

We’re now less than three weeks away from the biggest United States toy event of the year: the New York Toy Fair 2016!
And while we’ll get to see and take photos of the Summer 2016 LEGO Marvel sets there for the very first time in the U.S., those in the UK already got see the sets debut these weekend–including the first-ever LEGO Doctor Strange, Ghost Rider, Aunt May, Hobgoblin and more!

Congratulations to Gwen Stacy on becoming one of the most popular characters in the Marvel Universe after making a remarkable comeback from, well… being dead for 40+ years! Yeah, I know, Spider-Gwen is an alternate universe Gwen Stacy, but there’s no question she’s also the most popular version of the character ever. And now, Hasbro’s given her her first-ever 6″ figure: is the Marvel Legends Spider-Gwen figure worth the crazy $30+ she’s selling for online? Read on for my review…

When Hot Toys first said that they were going to produce the entire “Iron Man 3 House Party Protocol” collection of 40+ armors in sixth scale form, my heart said “Yesssss!”, but my head said “That’s impossible–there’s no way that Hot Toys can pull that off.” Fast-forward three years later, and while there are still over a dozen armors to go, there are only two unique armors left to be produced–at least, there were until today, as the Mark XV Sneaky Iron Man Hot Toys figure is now up for order!

They say that life is cyclical–and it looks like Funko POP! Vinyl collecting may be too! One of my big regrets as a Funko collector is that I never picked up the exclusive yellow-orange Deadpool POP Vinyl that was released a few years ago, and which now sells for well over $100 on the aftermarket. But in their benevolence, Funko is giving collectors another chance at this popular colorway–and Wade’s brought a Peggy Carter variant with him! The online exclusive Funko Yellow Deadpool & Sepia Agent Carter are now up for order!
