When Diamond Select Toys revealed and opened pre-orders for their Marvel Gallery Netflix Punisher statue last week, I wondered if we might get lucky enough to see Daredevil himself previewed at the New York Toy Fair 2017 or if that would be too much to hope for. Well, not only did DST meet my desire at the show, but they did me one better by showing off their lineup of Marvel Gallery Netflix, Daredevil, Luke Cage and Elektra statues!

My first stop at New York Toy Fair 2017 over the weekend was at a booth that never disappoints me: LEGO! I was worried we wouldn’t see anything new at the show since the first Marvel 2017 sets literally were released one day before Toy Fair began, but there were two new LEGO Marvel Summer 2017 sets on display, including the LEGO Spider-Man Homecoming ATM Heist Battle 76082!

I attended the Mattel Toy Fair 2017 Collector’s Preview event Sunday afternoon to check out the new 6″ Halo figures for Gamer Toy News, and while I was at the event, I noticed some Marvel faces staring back at me from a line I only vaguely knew existed. Never one to turn my nose up at taking photos for Marvel Toy News, I stopped to take some photos of all the Marvel Hot Wheels cars on display at the 2017 Toy Fair…

Earlier today I discussed the Marvel Select Netflix Daredevil and Spider-Gwen figures that we weren’t expecting to see debut at New York Toy Fair 2017 over the weekend, and now it’s time to take a look at the two figures we absolutely were expecting to see premiere at the show: Marvel Select Spider-Man Homecoming costume and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Star-Lord! DST is one of the last companies to reveal their interpretations of these characters, so I was worried they might be overshadowed–but these are two Marvel Select movie figures that absolutely do not disappoint…

Ordinarily I don’t like to throw around arbitrary awards like “Best in the Show” for the various conventions and events where collectibles companies show off their latest products, but there was one company at New York Toy Fair 2017 that really “wow”-ed me like never before, and that was Diamond Select Toys. Not only did Diamond Select bring surprise additions to their long-running Marvel Select series, but they also debuted over a dozen new Marvel statues at the show and really cemented themselves as a force in the Marvel statue world. And among those new reveals were their first-ever MCU PVC statues: the Marvel Gallery Guardians of the Galaxy statues!

I apologize for the lack of updates yesterday, as a combination of a ton of appointments at the New York Toy Fair 2017, massive server downtime because of the heavy traffic generated by the event and traveling back to New England from New York City with a massive migraine limited my posting capabilities temporarily. But I’m home now and ready to tackle the 2017 Toy Fair in some depth–beginning with coverage of some figures folks have been really and truly waiting for: the Marvel Select Spider-Gwen and Netflix Daredevil figures have now been revealed!

Just when you thought that there was no possible way that Hasbro could possibly have a single more Marvel Legends figure to reveal at New York Toy Fair 2017, they go and send out promotional images of two exclusive figures that weren’t allowed to be photographed at the show yesterday! While there’s no news on a future Marvel Legends X-Men series at this time, we can console ourselves with this exclusive Marvel Legends Dark Phoenix & Cyclops two-pack!

Just when I thought it was safe to go to bed, Hasbro sent out even more images of upcoming 2017 Marvel Legends figures that weren’t on display today at New York Toy Fair 2017! These don’t come as entirely a surprise, as I already saw these figures during the Hasbro Media Event slideshow this afternoon, but we weren’t allowed to photograph the figures at the event. But hey, maybe that’s for the best, because there’s no way our meager photography could look nearly as good as these hi-res official photos of the 2017 Marvel Legends Human Torch, Mary Jane and Ultimate Vulture vs. Spider-Man sets!

I’ve been up since 5AM this morning getting ready for Toy Fair and my brain is running on empty, but I just had to stay up a few minutes longer so I could make a quick post about some of this year’s upcoming Marvel Legends figures that collectors are gonna wild over. I’ve been predicting for the past year-plus that the Marvel Legends Lady Thor figure would debut in the Marvel Legends Thor Ragnarok series in Fall 2017, and it’s good to be proven right! But what else is good…? How about this exclusive Marvel Legends A-Force figures box set?!

It is not an exaggeration to say that fans have been demanding Netflix Marvel Legends figures from Hasbro for nearly two years now. Since the day the first season of Daredevil episodes hit Netflix, fans have been screaming out for super-articulated figures. And this year, Hasbro is finally delivering with not just Daredevil, but a whole series of Marvel Legends Netflix 6″ figures! And while we didn’t see the entire wave today, we did see four of the heavy hitters, including Daredevil, Elektra and The Punisher…

I didn’t think that there was even a one in a billion chance that Funko–the most prolific collectible toy manufacturer in the land–would come to New York Toy Fair 2017 without something new Marvel-themed to show off. And as it so happens, I was correct, as Funko brought along all of their new Spider-Man Homecoming POP Vinyls and Pint-Size Heroes figures to showcase! And I have to say–these might just be the cutest Peter Parker and Tony Stark figures ever…

Hasbro spoiled us just a little bit for the 2017 Toy Fair when they revealed the three Marvel Legends Spider-Man Homecoming figures from Spider-Man Legends 2017 Wave 2 earlier this month. But it turns out they really were saving the best stuff for the show, including all-new figures of Moon Knight, Tombstone, Captain Universe Spider-Man and more!

I’m not one to put any stock in leaked UPC lists, but when the Hasbro Marvel Legends Ex Nihilo figure was announced last night, that pretty much sealed the deal that the list of 2017 Marvel Legends Guardians of the Galaxy Wave 2 figures that had been circulating for weeks was the real deal and not just a rumor. And at the Hasbro Brand Toy Fair 2017 event today, we got official confirmation and also our first look at the rest of GOTG Marvel Legends Wave 2–including Nebula, Baby Groot and the Mantis Build-A-Figure!

Last night we got our first Marvel Legends reveal of New York Toy Fair 2016 when the Hasbro Guardians of the Galaxy Ex Nihilo figure was revealed. And today, while I’m presently on my way over to the Hasbro Brand Presentation where we’ll be learning about the remainder of their spring/summer 6″ figures, we’ve got another surprise reveal! Coming at least a month early exclusively to Entertainment Earth, the Marvel Legends Ego the Living Planet and Star-Lord two-pack is now up for order!
