It’s been a quiet week for Marvel toy news, so time to dip into my huge cache of 2018 Marvel Legends figures that still need reviews! Having reviewed the most in-demand figure of the series first (the Thanos Build-A-Figure), it seemed appropriate to go for the guaranteed shelf-warmer of the series with my second review. I’m making a gargantuan effort this year to cut back on 1/4 statues as much as I possibly can, as prices keep getting higher, boxes keep getting bigger, and my storage space keeps getting smaller (as in, I have like none left). Up until now, Kaiyodo has delivered hit after hit in their Marvel Revoltech Ame-Comics line of 6” figures, with triumphs ranging from Venom to Magneto to Spider-Gwen. But every family has a black sheep, and the Revoltech Marvel series just may have found theirs. Oftentimes when Bandai Japan shows off a figure and then goes silent on that figure for many months, it means that figure has been silently cancelled. I genuinely expected that to be the case with the bizarre Manga Realization Captain America that they first showed off last October, which debuted and then disappeared.
