We just didn’t know when or where… until photos of the SDCC 2017 Exclusive Marvel Legends Battle for Asgard set popped up online a few weeks back. But hey, while it’s far too late to act genuinely surprised now, at least we can legit ogle these hi-res photos of Marvel Legends Malekith, Ulik, Bor, Odinson and Jane Foster Thor, right?

Thor, thou hast finally hit the big time with thine own LEGO set! For the first time ever, The LEGO Group (TLG) is releasing movie sets to coincide with the release of a Thor movie–this fall’s “Thor Ragnarok” movie! The builds themselves don’t look that grandiose, but that’s not what people really buy LEGO Marvel sets for. Get ready for the first-ever minifigures of Gladiator Hulk, Thor with a helmet, and even Hela!

Here I thought that I had discussed all of the new Marvel Legends shown in my New York Toy Fair 2017 coverage last weekend, when I flipped through my photos today and realized I never talked about a trio that didn’t debut at the show. When Funko debuted their DC Rock Candy vinyl figures of Harley Quinn and Batgirl and such way back at New York Toy Fair 2016 in February, I wondered whether or not the line would be expanding to cover Marvel females as well. When you’re the biggest female breakout star Marvel has had in many years, you don’t have to wait long for your first statue to be released! This weekend at the 2016 Winter Wonder Festival, the Kotobukiya Spider-Gwen Bishoujo statue was fully revealed–including an unmasked Gwen Stacy head!
But Gwen’s not coming alone–Kotobukiya Bishoujo Loki (!!!) and Lady Thor statues were also announced at the event!
