I collect a few lines of anime figures, so I’ve been watching the Tamashii Nation 2015 event with a lot of interest for those lines. What I don’t imagine anyone was expecting to see at the show, however, was the bombshell dropped by Bandai Japan: the continuation of the SH Figuarts Avengers figures line!

2015 has been a downright incredible year for Marvel Legends collectors, no doubt about it. Hasbro released six full new waves of Marvel Legends 6″ figures this year, in addition to numerous exclusive releases. In total, over 50 new Marvel Legends action figures released this year! There’s just one problem with all this goodness: we’ve got to pay for it. Over the weekend I posted my review of one of the three “make-good” figures included in the final wave of Hasbro Marvel Infinite Series 3 3/4″ figures: Emma Frost. I was mostly satisfied with that figure of the White Queen, but even so, one of the other Marvel Universe leftovers has stolen Emma’s thunder, in my opinion! I almost didn’t order the Marvel Infinite Series Juggernaut Colossus figure, as I wasn’t sure I needed a toy of this character. I was so, so wrong… this just may be my favorite 4″ Marvel figure of 2015!

With the recent releases of the Target 3-Pack and Walgreens First Appearance Daredevil exclusives, all of the 2015 Marvel Legends 6″ figures that had been scheduled have now been released. But don’t get too comfortable, Marvel collectors! While we’ve still likely got 6-8 weeks before they begin to arrive in the United States (less if Hasbro wants to rush them for Christmas), photos have leaked out of the factories in China giving us our first look at next year’s packaging and the final finished figures composing the 2016 Marvel Legends Captain America Civil War and Spider-Man series!

One of the surprise “hot” Hasbro figures of 2015 has been the 6″ Marvel Legends Chameleon figure from the second Spider-Man wave of the year. Given how well-received by collectors and difficult to find in stores that figure is, I had high expectations for the Marvel Infinite Series Chameleon 4″ figure and immediately bust it open when I received my 2015 Marvel Infinite Series Wave 3 set from EE. Unfortunately, despite how “right” the Marvel Legends version was, this Chameleon figure is a bit of a dud in comparison…

The vintage Mattel Marvel Secret Wars toy line in the 1980’s was one of the earliest–and most bizarre–comic/toy tie-ins ever. Mattel offered to produce Marvel figures–but only if Marvel published a tie-in comic. And then Mattel proceeded to produce a bunch of characters not in the Secret Wars comic at all. Cool, huh? And now we can celebrate this bit of oddball trivia once again with another character not in the original comic, as the Gentle Giant Secret Wars Daredevil Jumbo figure is now up for order!

The Hasbro Marvel Titan Hero series of value-priced figures got off to a roaring start in 2015, releasing loads of electronic figures, new characters and even characters from the Avengers: Age of Ultron movie. The second half of the year has been a mite slow for the Titan Heroes range, however, with very few new toys hitting shelves (although the Titan Hero Vision is finally getting into decent circulation and Black Widow is rumored). But finally one more big release for 2015 has arrived–and I do mean big! It’s the mega-sized, 18″ Hulkbuster Armor Titan Hero!
