Though I was already running a fever and had mucus pouring out of my nose (isn’t that a lovely picture?) by the time I got to the Minimates panel at New York Comic Con 2015 last Thursday night, I stayed for the entire panel to make sure I didn’t miss anything important. And it’s a good thing I did, because Diamond Select Toys announced an entire series of Minimates that weren’t on display on the actual show floor! Coming in early 2016–the Walgreens exclusive Marvel Minimates Series 2 figures, including Taskmaster, Gamora, Thanos and more!

Kotobukiya Beast ARTFX+ Statue Now Up for Order!

It was a pretty big bummer that the Kotobukiya X-Men Beast ARTFX+ statue was a no-show at the Kotobukiya booth at New York Comic-Con 2015 last week, as the Beast statue had been teased before the show and many collectors had expected it to be on display there. We did get to see one slide of the ARTFX+ Beast during the Kotobukiya panel on Sunday, but it’s just not the same as seeing the figure close-up in all its glory. But at least Koto didn’t make us wait too much longer to see glam shots of Mrs. McCoy’s baby boy: the Kotobukiya Beast ARTFX+ statue is now up for order!

NYCC 2015: Kotobukiya Thanos Beast Spider-Gwen Statues!

If there was one Marvel collectibles-producing manufacturer whose New York Comic-Con 2015 showing came perilously close to disappointing me, it was Kotobukiya. With the exception of some Spider-Gwen Bishoujo concept art, there were zero new Marvel products on display at the Kotobukiya booth.

But it turns out Koto was actually just holding out on us until their Sunday panel, where they revealed new statues of Thanos, Beast and Spider-Gwen!

NYCC 2015: Sideshow Marvel Statues! Final 12″ Deadpool!

For the first time ever, Sideshow Collectibles made the long journey across to the east coast with a marquee booth on the floor at New York Comic Con 2015!

But while the NYCC Sideshow booth didn’t meet my lofty expectations, I did get to see some gems in person for the first time, including the Spider-Man Premium Format Figures and the final finished Deadpool sixth scale figure!

NYCC 2015: Deadpool Marvel Minimates Series 65 Revealed!

Diamond Select Toys really brought the Marvel goods to New York Comic Con (well, provided you’re a Minimates collector and not a Marvel Select guy).

Not only was the next series of Animated Marvel Minimates shown–plus Spider-Gwen–but an all-new series also debuted: Marvel Minimates Series 65 is all Deadpool, all the time! And hey–it’s the first action figure of X-Force’s Siryn ever!!

NYCC 2015: Spider-Gwen Minimates Figure Revealed!

Though I was progressively getting sicker as the day went on yesterday, there was no way I was leaving the Javits Center before the Minimates panel from 6:45-7:45 last night.

And a good thing I didn’t, because Diamond Select Toys showed some great stuff at that panel–including the Toys R Us Minimates Series 21 exclusive Spider-Gwen & Iron Spider two-pack!

I have a pretty wide range of collecting interests, and as such, I’m always pretty pumped when two things that I collect interesect in an unexpected way. I’ve been playing the ultra-popular Disney Tsum Tsum mobile game on-and-off for about a year now, and picking-and-choosing random Tsum Tsum plush along the way. But next month’s new set will be an instant buy all-around: because it’s the first-ever Marvel Tsum Tsum plush series!

It was almost a full year ago at New York Comic Con 2014 that Kotobukiya made their grandiose reveal of their next Marvel ARTFX+ statue series: the Marvel NOW! X-Men. The highlights of that black & white Adi Granov concept art for me were Magik and what I thought to be my favorite costume for Magneto. My heart plummeted when it turned out to be a different Magneto costume, but Koto has come through in the end: the exclusive Kotobukiya Magneto White Costume statue is now available for order!

Earlier this week I talked about the arrival of one of the two final 2015 Marvel Legends items: the Target Exclusive Marvel Legends three-pack containing figures of Ultron, Indestructible Hulk and the West Coast Avengers Vision.
