When Hot Toys posted their preview image for next week’s 2015 Singapore Toy, Game & Comic Convention (STGCC 2015), it looked suspiciously like a blue repaint of their just-released Iron Man Mark 3 die-cast figure.

With Bowen Designs still on hiatus for an indeterminable amount of time (which I’m starting to fear may be forever), the 1/6th scale Marvel statues world is definitely a boring place to be.

Now that we’ve hit the slow season between SDCC 2015 and NYCC 2015, it’s time to backtrack and discuss some upcoming items that I didn’t give their due to right away. And the biggest of those news items is the first major wave of Marvel Legends 2016 figures: the Marvel Legends Captain America Civil War wave! You never forget your first–and my first was Samuel L. Jackson. That’s right–though I own dozens of them now (I’m scared to count how many), it was the Hot Toys Nick Fury figure from the Avengers that convinced me to enter the sixth-scale game. Hasbro has been pretty stingy regarding specific release details for the upcoming 3.75″ Marvel Infinite Series waves this year, leading a lot of collectors to wonder if something is up with the line. But it appears that things are back on track following the summer deluge of Marvel Legends and Avengers: Age of Ultron series figures, as the 2015 Marvel Infinite Series Wave 3 figures are finally up for order! While Hasbro covered all their bases with the core movie Avengers by releasing a new movie-based Marvel Legends figure for each of the six main members of the Avengers, the new recruits (Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver and Vision) didn’t get the same treatment. Even so, the new comics-based Marvel Legends Vision figure is now available online and in some stores, and while he’s clearly not a replacement for a movie Vision, he’s a terrific figure nonetheless…
