Marvel Tsum Tsum Poster October 2015

I have a pretty wide range of collecting interests, and as such, I’m always pretty pumped when two things that I collect interesect in an unexpected way. I’ve been playing the ultra-popular Disney Tsum Tsum mobile game on-and-off for about a year now, and picking-and-choosing random Tsum Tsum plush along the way. But next month’s new set will be an instant buy all-around: because it’s the first-ever Marvel Tsum Tsum plush series!

UPDATE 10/6: The first series of Marvel Tsum Tsums is now available online! Get ’em while they last (which is not gonna be long)!

New York Comic Con Exclusive Marvel Pins Packs 2015

What with Marvel being owned by Disney and all, I guess it was inevitable that someday I would end up discussing Marvel pins here on Marvel Toy News. And while I’ll forgo discussing the Funko POP Pins for the moment (there’s really not much to say about them), what I won’t skip discussing is what just may be my favorite New York Comic Con exclusive this year: the NYCC 2015 Skottie Young Marvel Pins!

Carnange Funko POP Vinyl Figure Packaged

Ordinarily, nothing on Earth would stop me from immediately talking about two newly-revealed Marvel Funko POP Vinyls–especially when one of those POPs happens to be among the most-requested characters ever for the line. But as it turns out, my being in the E.R. for 9 hours yesterday falls outside the realm of “ordinary”. Alas. Regardless, two sure-to-be best-sellers have now been revealed: the Funko Carnage and Anti-Venom POP Vinyls!

Exclusive Kotobukiya Magneto White Costume ARTFX+ Statue!

White Magneto Variant Kotobukiya ARTFX+ Statue

It was almost a full year ago at New York Comic Con 2014 that Kotobukiya made their grandiose reveal of their next Marvel ARTFX+ statue series: the Marvel NOW! X-Men. The highlights of that black & white Adi Granov concept art for me were Magik and what I thought to be my favorite costume for Magneto. My heart plummeted when it turned out to be a different Magneto costume, but Koto has come through in the end: the exclusive Kotobukiya Magneto White Costume statue is now available for order!

Walgreens Marvel Legends Yellow Daredevil Released!

Spider-Man Legends Exclusive Classic Yellow Daredevil Figure

Earlier this week I talked about the arrival of one of the two final 2015 Marvel Legends items: the Target Exclusive Marvel Legends three-pack containing figures of Ultron, Indestructible Hulk and the West Coast Avengers Vision. But that’s not to say that the other final item for this year’s range hasn’t been released recently as well: the Walgreens Exclusive Marvel Legends First Appearance Daredevil figure is also at large! And while he was previously only found online, Classic Yellow Daredevil is starting to show up now in Walgreens stores as well…

Marvel Legends Avengers Target Exclusive 3-Pack

With Q4 2015 beginning tomorrow, it’s almost time to bid our Hasbro Marvel 2015 collecting adieu. Every full series of 2015 Marvel Legends has now been released at mass retail, with just a few exclusives left as holdouts. Or, at least there were some exclusive holdouts left! The exclusive Target Marvel Legends 3-Pack of Vision, Ultron and Hulk figures has now been released in stores! From a certain point of view…

Marvel Legends Hulkbuster Iron Man Build-A-Figure Review!

Marvel Legends Avengers Hulk Buster Iron Man Figure

I’ve been doing an awful lot of talking about Hulk toys this week, so I think maybe it’s time to switch gears and do some Hulk-busting!

The most talked-about and in-demand Hasbro Marvel Legends figure of the year is the Hulkbuster Iron Man Build-A-Figure. You have to buy all seven Marvel Legends Avengers Wave 3 figures to build him, but is the Marvel Legends Hulkbuster Iron Man worth it…? In two words: “Awwwww. Yeah.”

Kotobukiya Rampaging Hulk ARTFX+ Statue Review!

Entertainment Earth Exclusive Rampaging Hulk Statue Review

Much like a whole generation of kids who grew up swearing to it that Optimus Prime crumbles to dust in the 1986 Transformers movie, it’s likely that there will be millions of viewers out there in a few years who insist there was a grey Hulk in Avengers: Age of Ultron. But while that too is a fallacy, Hulk does look a more muted green while under the Scarlet Witch’s spell–and that’s the basis for this Entertainment Earth exclusive Kotobukiya Rampaging Hulk ARTFX+ statue that I like far more than I expected to…

Close-Up of Figma Avengers Hulk Figure

Although most of the core movie Avengers became immortalized as Figma figures in 2014, one of the four characters originally shown off for the line a few years ago simply did not materialize.

But following up on Bandai releasing their SH Figuarts Hulk and NECA finally debuting their 1/4 Hulk, Max Factory is finally ready to get in on the Jade Giant action as well: the imported Figma Hulk figure is now up for order!

New York Comic Con 2015 Exclusive Dorbz Punisher Iron Man Vinyls

We are now just two weeks away from New York Comic Con 2015, the sold-out ever of the season that will hopefully end the recent lull of new Marvel collectibles being announced (rassum frassum Star Wars)! As usual, there aren’t a whole lot of New York Comic Con exclusive Marvel toys–but there are more than last year. And two of them are from this year’s newly-launched Dorbz line: it’s the NYCC 2015 exclusive Funko Dorbz Stealth Iron Man and Thunderbolts Punisher figures!

NYCC 2015 Funko Deadpool RED Chimichanga Truck?!

NYCC 2015 Exclusive Funko Deadpool Red Taco Truck POP Vinyls Rides

I love Funko an awful, awful lot. So much so, in fact, that I stood in line at the Toy Tokyo booth at New York Comic Con 2014 in a sort-of-successful attempt to claim the NYCC 2014 Funko exclusives. So I was pretty pumped when Funko announced they’d be attending NYCC themselves for the first time in 2015.

But if there were a prize for lamest NYCC 2015 exclusive, even without knowing all of the other possibilities this year yet, I’m pretty sure the winner would be Funko with the POP! Rides Red Deadpool Chimichanga Truck vinyl set…

Kaiyodo Ultron Revoltech Movie Figure Close-Up

Earlier this month, Bandai opened up pre-orders for their web-exclusive S.H. Figuarts Ultron action figure. But Bandai Tamashii isn’t the only overseas company looking to make bank on an action figure of the lead villain of the Avengers: Age of Ultron movie. Up until now, the extent of Kaiyodo’s Marvel offerings has been a multitude of Revoltech Iron Man figures–but that’s going to change this winter when the Revoltech Ultron figure is unleashed!

Marvel Legends White Tiger Review & Photos (Rhino Series)

Marvel Legends White Tiger Review & Photos

The Spider-Man Marvel Legends Rhino Series is one of my favorite Hasbro Marvel Legends 6″ series ever, as it’s filling in character gaps both vital (Ben Reilly Scarlet Spider, Chameleon) and ridiculously obscure. Last time I talked about the almost-perfect Misty Knight figure, but she’s not the only female in this wave! The Marvel Legends White Tiger figure is also now available for order, and while she may not be a mainstream icon, she is a pretty stellar action figure…

Gentle Giant Black Widow Marvel Collectors Gallery Statue Pre-Order

Gentle Giant’s biggest smash hit Marvel release of 2014 was one of their very first Marvel quarter-scale statues: a gorgeous Scarlett Johansson Black Widow statue based on the Captain America: The Winter Soldier movie! Limited to just 600 pieces produced, aftermarket prices quickly exploded on this piece.

But for those who missed the boat with this beauty, you’ve got another chance: a 9″ version of the Black Widow statue is now available for order!

Skottie Young Captain America Baby Statue Up for Order!

Skottie Young Captain America Statue Gentle Giant Ltd.

Of all the news articles that I published following San Diego Comic-Con 2015, the one that most surprised me the most regarding the sheer amount of hype and excitement that it drummed up was the preview of the Gentle Giant Skottie Young Marvel Babies statues.

Gentle Giant said at the show that we’d have to wait a while to own these mini-statues–and they were telling the truth–but at least the Skottie Young Captain America statue is now up for order!
