…Well, come on now. You didn’t really think that Kotobukiya was going to break their streak by not releasing a high-end version of Tony Stark’s final armor from Avengers: Age of Ultron, did you?
That’s right–following up this year’s best-selling Mark 43 and Hulkbuster Iron Man statues, Kotobukiya is kicking off 2016 with the MCU’s most popular character as well: the ARTFX Iron Man Mark XLV statue is now available for order!

Way back at San Diego Comic-Con 2015 (you know–two months ago), Diamond Select Toys announced that they were reentering the Marvel statue business with their revived line of Clayburn Moore Marvel Premier Collection statues! The line kicked off with a Wolverine statue that didn’t receive the warmest reception from some collectors, but the second release in the line is a statue fans have been demanding for a decade: the long-lost Silver Age Thor statue by Clayburn Moore is now up for order!

It was exactly seven months and two days ago that Hasbro tried (successfully, in many cases) to buy Marvel movie fans’ love by unveiling the Amazon Exclusive Marvel Legends Avengers Age of Ultron 4-Pack at the New York Toy Fair 2015. Well, it’s been an arduous wait, but ahead of AOU arriving on Blu Ray, the Avengers Marvel Legends Box set is finally in-stock and shipping! And for those who can’t haven’t received their set yet and want to check out the in-hand photos of the figures, here you go…

At New York Toy Fair 2015 in February, I came to the realization that the Hasbro Marvel Legends brand is now nearly as strong as Star Wars was a decade before, now being able to feasibly produce and sell through the most obscure of characters.
And the character that made my have that epiphany is the subject of tonight’s review: Marvel Legends Misty Knight is now available for below retail cost online–should you add her to your collection?

Bandai Japan shocked Marvel collectors everywhere over the summer by debuting the prototype of not just their first SH Figuarts Marvel villain figure–but a movie Ultron figure whose quality basically destroys the Marvel Legends Ultron BAF! Fans have been waiting to place their orders since, and now they can–so long as they don’t mind importing from Japan at a marked-up price! The Bandai Tamashii Web Exclusive SH Figuarts Ultron figure is now up for order!

When Hot Toys posted their preview image for next week’s 2015 Singapore Toy, Game & Comic Convention (STGCC 2015), it looked suspiciously like a blue repaint of their just-released Iron Man Mark 3 die-cast figure.
But having already released two exclusive Stealth Iron Man figures this year, surely Hot Toys couldn’t have another on deck… right? Wrong–the exclusive Hot Toys Stealth Iron Man Mark III is now up for order!

With Bowen Designs still on hiatus for an indeterminable amount of time (which I’m starting to fear may be forever), the 1/6th scale Marvel statues world is definitely a boring place to be.
But all hope is not lost, as Kotobukiya is still fighting the good fight for sixth scale statue collectors. And in 2016, T’Challa will be on the prowl–the 2016 Kotobukiya Black Panther Fine Arts Statue is now up for order!

There aren’t a whole lot of Marvel action figures that hit stores every year that I hadn’t known all about for weeks (or months) beforehand, so when I walk into a store and see something I had no idea even existed, it’s sort of like Christmas! And while I was out today looking for a, uh… Jedi Holocron (don’t laugh), Christmas arrived early: a Toys R Us Exclusive Ultimate Spider-Man Minimates have now been released!

Now that we’ve hit the slow season between SDCC 2015 and NYCC 2015, it’s time to backtrack and discuss some upcoming items that I didn’t give their due to right away. And the biggest of those news items is the first major wave of Marvel Legends 2016 figures: the Marvel Legends Captain America Civil War wave! I talked about three of the figures from this wave during the second day of SDCC, but Hasbro still had a couple more surprises for us… including a Werewolf Captain America and the Red Onslaught Build-A-Figure!

Over the weekend, I decided to take some time to discuss the revival of Hasbro Marvel Comic Packs coming up in 2016. But of course, those two-packs won’t be the only 4″ Marvel Infinite Series figures coming our way this winter!
The successor to the Marvel Universe line rolls on next year, with six figures each in Marvel Infinite Series 2016 Wave 1 and Wave 2… and, oh yeah: Lockjaw is coming!

There’s been a definite lack of Marvel toy news over the last several days, which I imagine has something to do with this “Star Wars” thing that every toy company seems to be all excited about right now. And so, while there’s nothing new to talk about, per se, I think I will take this opportunity to go back and talk about something I skipped discussing in my San Diego Comic-Con 2015 coverage: the first twelve Marvel Infinite Series 2016 figures comprising Comic Packs Series 1 and Series 2… including Lady Thor and Falcon Captain America!

The single-biggest toy shopping day thus far in 2015 is nearly upon us, but for a change, Marvel won’t be the impetus for collectors going wild tomorrow: Star Wars will be! But while Marvel won’t be at the eye of the storm this time, Walgreens Marvel Animated Minimates Series 1 will be hitting stores–which means that now is the perfect time to talk about things to come: Animated Marvel Minimates Series 1.5!

2015 has been an excellent “make-good” year for previously-canceled Hasbro Marvel action figures. In the 6″ Marvel Legends lineup, we’ve finally gotten the long-lost Iron Fist, Sentry, Blizzard, Tigershark, Bulldozer and more. And now we can add one more previously M.I.A. figure to that list: the Marvel Legends Rescue figure is finally coming out–as the 2016 Marvel Unlimited Plus exclusive figure!

Last time I reviewed a Marvel Legends Hulkbuster Series figure, I focused on a comics-based version of a character newly-introduced to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
But while the Vision is all shiny and new to the MCU this year, next year the MCU is gonna get a lot more… strange! The 2015 Marvel Legends Doctor Strange figure is now available for order online–but is he as worthy of your dollars as the excellent Vision figure was? Read on for my review…

After realizing that 95% of the stuff that came in each month’s Loot Crate was just that I ended up throwing into a Goodwill box, I quickly fell out of love with Loot Crate and cancelled my subscription.
Luckily, Funko launched the Marvel Collector Corps to fill the mystery box void in my heart. And after two decent first boxes, Funko really struck gold with their August 2015 Marvel Collector Corps Secret Wars box, which is easily the best mystery box I’ve ever gotten…
