Although there are over 8,000 Marvel heroes and villains, less than 500 of them are characters that most people have ever heard of. And so, with hundreds of figures now released, there are very few major omissions left. And this year, perhaps the most prominent missing villain has finally arrived: Thanos!
Is it worth buying five of the Marvel Legends Avengers Wave 2 figures to build the Thanos Build-A-Figure…?

Well, there’s no doubt about it. In 2015, more than ever before, Hot Toys has decided to wage all-out war this year on collectors’ wallets! Eight Hot Toys Avengers Age of Ultron figures are already up for order without the movie even being in theaters yet, and it doesn’t look like Hot Toys is planning to slow down any time soon! At this weekend’s “Marvel’s Avengers Age of Ultron Exhibition” in Hong Kong, Hot Toys has officially revealed four more new figures, including the Hot Toys Ultron Mark I, Iron Legion, Ultron Sentry and more!

The king of exclusive figures is at it once again! This week, photos leaked out of the Phillipines of a variety of announced–and unannounced–exclusive Funko POP Vinyls figures scheduled to be released this spring. Some of these are figures that we had heard rumors of, and some of them are totally unexpected. But on the Marvel side of things, we’re now able to see three exclusive variant Funko Marvel POP Vinyl figures for the first time: Black Costume Storm, Unmasked Cyclops and Captain America Unmasked!

Earlier this week, I discussed the latest Bandai S.H. Figuarts Avengers: Age of Ultron figure to be revealed: Iron Man Mark XLV.
But while Iron Man Mark 45 was just revealed this week, the remaining Avengers SH Figuarts figures that we first saw teased months ago are also finally getting their day in the sun: the SH Figuarts Hulk, Thor and Captain America figures are now up for order!

While Funko has traditionally kept their comic book movie lines of POP Vinyl figures reasonably small, after the runaway success of last year’s Guardians of the Galaxy POP! Vinyls, Funko has started to think big! As such, even though the movie isn’t even out yet, Funko already has twelve Avengers Age of Ultron POP Vinyls figures either already in stores or on the way! Three of those figures are exclusive variants, and while the first exclusive I picked up is the Funko Gamma Glow Hulk POP Vinyl, I unfortunately can’t exactly give him a glowing review…

As soon as the Guardians of the Galaxy movie hit theaters last summer and the Groot craze began, demand for the Groot Funko POP Vinyl figure exploded and it took months for supply to catch up to the demand. And then came the Funko Dancing Baby Groot POP! Vinyl figure. Four more Groot variants later, and I figured we were all done with POP Groot figures. But wait, there’s more–! A couple of surprise prototypes surfaced today, confirming the impending arrival of yet more Funko POP Vinyl Groot figures…

For several years now, many collectors have considered the Hot Toys Marvel 1/6 figures to be the best Marvel figures on the market right now (and quite possibly ever). But maybe–just maybe–you’ve been waiting for something bigger than sixth scale. Something along the lines of a super-articulated Sideshow Premium Format Figure statue. If that sounds like you, you’re in luck–the 20″ Hot Toys 1/4 Iron Man Mark 43 figure is now up for order!

Now that we’re less than one month out from the theatrical release of “Avengers: Age of Ultron”, we’ve seen pretty clear looks at every character design from the movie that isn’t top-secret. Well, every character design except one–until now! While nearly every toy manufacturer out there is repainting old Iron Man Mark 42 collectibles into Mark 43, and everyone is wild for the Mark 44 Hulkbuster Iron Man, poor Mark 45 has slipped through the cracks! But no longer–the Bandai S.H. Figuarts Iron Man Mark 45 figure has now been fully revealed!

After Iron Man 3 came out and introduced 36 new Iron Man armor permutations, it seemed like Hot Toys might not have to ever think up a non-canonical movie design for Iron Man ever again. But whether it was necessary to do so or not, that’s just what Hot Toys has done again: the Avengers Age of Ultron limited exclusive Hot Toys Movie Promo Stealth Iron Man Mark VII figure is now up for order!
UPDATE: After five hours up for sale, Stealth Iron Man is now SOLD OUT! If you want him and didn’t order yet, now is the time to get on the Wait List!

The days of Disney Vinylmation collecting may be coming to an end. Disney has virtually eliminated all trading at the Disney Parks, and the number of series and limited-edition sets coming out this year is a meager fraction of what we’ve seen in past years. But one Vinylmation series that still seems to be strong and fervently-collected is the Vinylmation Marvel series! And before the Vinylmation Avengers series hits this summer, Disney has a surprise LE set lined up for us next month: Vinylmation Red Hulk and Red She-Hulk!

As far as I’m concerned, Peter Parker’s OTP is with Gwen Stacy. But if Gwen were to be dead (and she usually is), then I would have no problem getting together with my next-favorite Spider-Man related female: Felicia Hardy, the Black Cat. Sideshow’s latest Black Cat statue has been a long time coming (as in “Sideshow teased it both to kick off 2015 and to kick off 2014″), but today is the day that collectors can secure her coming to their homes: the Sideshow Exclusive J. Scott Campbell Black Cat statue is now up for order!

If you’re a Hot Toys collector that’s missing one Marvel Cinematic Universe character that you just haven’t been able to afford, then the Avenger you’re most likely lacking is Hawkeye. The Hot Toys Avengers Hawkeye figure was the first of the Avengers movie figures to go up for sale, and the demand turned out to be far greater than the quantity produced. Hawkeye has been out of reach for many collectors–but no longer: the Avengers Age of Ultron Hot Toys Hawkeye figure is now up for order!

When I first saw the unannounced Funko Hikari Groot variants debut five months ago at New York Comic Con 2015, I knew I was destined to one day have a green Groot Hikari vinyl Sofubi figure of my very own. It’s been a reasonably long wait, but the Hot Topic Exclusive Funko Regeneration Groot Hikari finally turned up for sale online this month!
Now that I’ve got him in my hands, is this very unique Hikari Groot Vinyl figure everything I dreamed he would be…?

When Kotobukiya revealed their ARTFX+ Deadpool statue last year, it became the first “standalone” Marvel ARTFX+ statue, as it isn’t part of the Marvel NOW! Avengers or X-Men lineups. Of course, Kotobukiya might as well have just called this the “Deadpool Series”, because the third version of this Kotobukiya Deadpool ARTFX+ statue has now been revealed: Partially Unmasked Deadpool with Headpool!
