The first three figures I’ve talked about in the Marvel Legends Guardians of the Galaxy Infinite Series have been mostly a mixed bag, and today’s figure will be more of the same. Though she’s been a staple of the Marvel cosmic universe for decades and a key member of teams like the Infinity Watch and the Guardians of the Galaxy, Gamora has never had a major figure release before (Minimates doesn’t count, sorry). But that’s all about to change, and Gamora is (hopefully) about to enter the upper-echelon of recognizable Marvel females! If there’s one character that Marvel collectors were reasonably certain would not show his armored face as part of the Guardians of the Galaxy Marvel Legends series, it’s Iron Man. But, well… here is. To Hasbro’s credit, they did choose an Iron Man armor that’s strongly linked to the GOTG, however. At this point, I’ve come to realize that virtually every company that’s ever made a sculpt for the Iron Man Mark VII armor is going to do a money-grab by repainting that item gold and calling it Midas Iron Man. Don’t fight it–just accept it.

While it initially looked like The Falcon was going to get a bit of a bum deal when it came to Captain America The Winter Soldier toys, things have turned out pretty smashing for ol’ Sam Wilson in the end. While a Marvel Legends Falcon figure doesn’t seem to be in the cards, there’s an outstanding Marvel Select Falcon figure, a fun Marvel Minimates Falcon, and even a halfway decent 4″ Falcon Hasbro figure. But now the crown jewel of any Falcon collection has been fully revealed and is ready to claim its rightful spot atop the mountain–the Hot Toys Falcon figure is now up for order!
