Hot Toys Amazing Spider-Man 2 Electro MMS 246 Figure Weaving Electricity

I was legitimately more excited for the Amazing Spider-Man 2 movie than any other movie coming out this year that doesn’t have a talking raccoon in it. A month ago, Hot Toys could have sold me pretty much anything with an Amazing Spider-Man 2 logo on it. Then I actually saw the Amazing Spider-Man 2, and I became a whole lot more selective about what I’d buy from that movie. Whatever 1/6 figures Hot Toys produced from the movie would have to be really excellent to get my attention. And as it so happens, the Hot Toys Electro figure that is now up for order looks downright awesome…

Sideshow Exclusive Grey Hulk Premium Format Figure with Orange Shirt

The Rule of Three is a writing principle that states that things that come in threes are inherently better than individuals or pairs of things. That rule must be what Sideshow Collectibles had in mind when they decided to go ahead with not one, not two, but three new Hulk Premium Format Figures in 2014! We’ve had the Sideshow Premium Format Red Hulk and Green Hulk statues go up for sale in the past two months, but if those weren’t for you, perhaps the third time will be the charm–the Sideshow exclusive Grey Hulk Premium Format statue is now up for order!

Exclusive Funko Star-Lord Unmasked Amazon Exclusive POP Vinyl Figure

A couple months back at the 2014 New York Toy Fair, I accidentally saw the meant-to-be-secret Unmasked Star-Lord POP Vinyls variant figure on the back of a Guardians of the Galaxy box at the Funko booth. As I’m pretty familiar with Funko’s practices, I instantly knew that the Funko Unmasked Star Lord was going to end up being an exclusive release–and it turns out I was right. If you’ve been waiting to pre-order, you’re in luck: the Chris Pratt Star-Lord Funko POP! Vinyl figure is now available for order!

2014 Marvel Legends X-Men Storm Infinite Series Figure Packaged

There’s good news and bad news for Marvel collectors who are getting pumped for this summer’s Hasbro X-Men Marvel Legends Infinite Series with Jubilee Build-A-Figure. The good news is that the series is going to have additional availability beyond Toys R Us, as online retailers and comic book stores will also be taking pre-orders for the 6″ X-Men Legends figures. The bad news is that the case ratios for the series have also been revealed, and two of the figures coming with Jubilee Build-A-Figure parts are in fact shortpacked…

Revoltech Mini RM003 Iron Man Mark VI Figure Box Packaged

Revoltech is one of the most renowned and frequently imported action figure lines in the world, so it was only a matter of time until they decided to expand into new areas. But instead of getting bigger, the Kaiyodo Revoltech line is getting smaller–with a new series of Revoltech Micro figures (called Revolmini)! Considering that Iron Man has been one of the most produced Revoltech figures ever, it was only a matter of time until a Revolmini Iron Man appeared. And that time has come–the RM-003 Revoltech Mini Iron Man Mark VI is now available for pre-order!

LEGO X-Men vs. The Sentinel 76022 Review & Photos

LEGO Marvel X-Men vs The Sentinel Summer 2014 Set Scale Photo

LEGO knows how to make money better than any other toy company on Earth, so even though their sole LEGO Marvel X-Men set wasn’t scheduled to be released until June/July 2014, there was no way that LEGO was going to miss out on the chance of moving the set more quickly by having it out in time for the release of the X-Men Days of Future Past movie debut. I spotted the LEGO X-Men vs. The Sentinel 76022 set unexpectedly last week before the movie premiered, but ended up not picking it up myself due to the outrageous amount of money LEGO and other Marvel licensees have already gotten from me this month. Luckily, it turns out that the set may actually be worth its price…

Kotobukiya ArtFX+ Black Widow Statue Released

Things have been pretty quiet on the Marvel Kotobukiya statues front ever since they released the Avengers Hulk ARTFX+ statue that I reviewed last month.

But while we’re still waiting for the pre-order and painted prototype photos of the last statue in the ARTFX+ Avengers Now lineup (Iron Man), we’ve got something new to get excited about–the second (and in my opinion, best-looking) of the Kotobukiya Avengers has now been released: the Kotobukiya Black Widow ArtFX+ Statue is now in-stock and ready to be ordered!

Hasbro SDCC 2014 Marvel Infinite Gauntlet Exclusive Figures Set

Hasbro did a superb job this year of keeping their SDCC 2014 Marvel Legends exclusive set of 6″ figures under wraps until they were ready to grandly unveil it today. Their 3.75″ Marvel Infinite Series SDCC 2014 exclusive set…? Not so much. We’d seen some photos leak from Asia over the last few weeks, and I instantly guessed that we would be getting a Thanos-themed Marvel Universe exclusive set. And, as expected, that’s exactly what we’re getting–but it’s also coming with a really cool wearable, foam Infinity Gauntle! It’s the SDCC 2014 Marvel Infinity Gauntlet figures set!

Once companies like Funko and Mattel started laying out their plans for their San Diego Comic Con 2014 exclusives, we knew it was only a matter of time until Hasbro played their cards as well! The past two years Hasbro has revealed their exclusives on the third Wednesday of the month, but they threw us a curveball this year by holding out on us for one extra day. But the wait is at an end, and the exclusives are revealed–and this year, they’re all cosmic! Get excited, Marvel Legends fans–the SDCC 2014 Marvel Legends Thanos Imperative figure set is coming our way this summer!

Guardians of the Galaxy Groot Build-A-Figure Marvel Legends Infinite Series

Over the course of the last week I’ve given my reviews and impressions of all six basic figures that make up the Hasbro Marvel Legends Guardians of the Galaxy Infinite Series (and you can find all those reviews in the archives). But, of course, there’s one more figure that needs to be discussed–because you have to buy every other figure in the series just to build him!

He needs no introduction, but he will definitely give it anyway–it’s the outstanding Marvel Legends Groot Build-A-Figure!

Guardians of the Galaxy Mystery Minis Case Funko Summer 2014

Although Funko teased a whole series of Guardians of the Galaxy Mystery Minis vinyl figures last winter, we didn’t get to see a peek at them until the New York Toy Fair 2014–and that was only some concept art in the Funko 2014 catalog marked “Confidential”. Not wanting Funko to bust my head, I couldn’t share that artwork–but today, there’s nothing left to hide! Funko has fully-revealed the set, and the Funko Mystery Minis Guardians of the Galaxy set is now available for order!
