Yeah–this isn’t gonna be like that. This year, Walgreens has their act together and is ready to strike while the iron is hot. SDCC 2015 3A Toys Spider-Man Figure

The week of San Diego Comic-Con 2015 is not the week I would have chosen for an exhaustive move into a new home, but alas–no use crying over late coverage.

That said, I’ve got a lot to catch up on now, including the latest from ThreeA Toys. We’ve known for over a year now that 3A Toys Spider-Man figures have been in the works, and at SDCC 2015 last week we finally got to see what the artists at 3A Toys have been working on…

Marvel Legends Mockingbird Figure Revealed SDCC 2015

Hasbro doesn’t believe in playing all of their cards at once at the biggest convention of the year, and that’s why–even though they’ve already shown off an amazing all-new wave of Spider-Man Legends figures and their panel is less than 24 hours away–Hasbro debuted three more all-new Marvel Legends figures on Friday at San Diego Comic-Con 2015! And while the bad news is that we’re getting yet another Captain America figure, the good news is that we’re getting the first-ever Marvel Legends Mockingbird figure, as well as a totally different Taskmaster from what we’ve seen before!

Maria Hill Hot Toys Toy Fair 2015 Exclusive MMS Figure

There are certain characters that fans have been asking Hot Toys for for so long now that many collectors started assuming that these niche characters were simply never going to be produced. In the case of Pepper Potts and maybe even Quicksilver, those fans may be right. But this week, Hot Toys proved all those who said Cobie Smulders was never going to appear in sixth scale form wrong: the limited 2015 Toy Fair Exclusive Hot Toys Maria Hill figure is now up for order!

Marvel Legends Spider-Gwen Figure

Tragically, in this day and age of early internet leaks, it’s getting harder and harder for toy companies to ever truly surprise collectors with reveals that are totally unexpected. On San Diego Comic-Con 2015 Preview Night, Hasbro debuted the Marvel Legends Walgreens exclusives that everyone had known about for months. And on Thursday–the first full day of the convention–Hasbro next debuting products turn out to be another lineup that avid fans already knew to expect–but man, what a lineup! It’s 2015 Marvel Legends Spider-Man Wave 3–including Spider-Gwen, Jack O’ Lantern, Mobius and more!

Walgreens Exclusive Marvel Legends Ant-Man Eric O Grady

Our new house is roasting at 90 degrees without functional cooling, we just got the internet up and running an hour ago, I don’t have a desk yet in the house so I’m working on the floor, and my mousepad is a piece of paper. But hey–it’s all good times, as San Diego Comic-Con 2015 has finally arrived! And while Hasbro won’t be showing off many previously unseen products until a few days into the con, we’ve already gotten two big (but expected) reveals: the Walgreens Exclusive Marvel Legends Yellow Daredevil and Eric O’ Grady Ant-Man figures have now been confirmed!

Hot Toys Toy Fair Exclusive Tank Disco Iron Man Mark 9 Figures

Once upon a time, I had a dream that Hot Toys would produce sixth scale figures of all 43 armors that appear in the Iron Man 3 movie. For a while it looked like they might actually pull it off, but sadly, it looks like that dream may be going unfulfilled. Hot Toys has now put their limited 2015 Toy Fair Summer Exclusive Tank Iron Man up for order–and it actually comes with two more new Iron Man armors! But there’s a plot twist even more expected than the Mandarin: while the Hot Toys Tank Iron Man looks outstanding, the Disco Iron Man & Mark 9 are a little, uh… little…

Before this summer’s mega-blockbuster Secret Wars comic book event even began, we already knew that Disney/Marvel had lined up all of its biggest licensees to create tie-in merchandise for the crossover storyline. And while the biggest Marvel toy company–Hasbro–hasn’t gotten around to revealing any of its Secret Wars Marvel Legends plans yet, smaller licensees like Gentle Giant Ltd. and Hot Wheel have already begun. And now, we can add a new line of tie-in figures to the list: the Diamond Select Toys Marvel Secret Wars Minimates figures have now been revealed!

Marvel NOW X-Men Kotobukiya Magneto Statue ARTFX+

I thought it would be safe to take this week off for our week-long move to a new home, what with this convention happening next week that’s sort of a big deal. See, traditionally, companies save all of their big reveals for San Diego Comic-Con, and so I didn’t expect any new Marvel toy news this week. That’s not really how it worked out, though, so I’ll be catching up as I’m able. And the first item I want to chat about is also the one I’m most excited for–the Marvel Now X-Men Kotobukiya Magneto ARTFX+ Statue has now been revealed!

Play Arts Kai Marvel Venom Figure 2015

Square-Enix shocked us by unveiling three all-new Marvel Play Arts Kai variants (that’s two more than I expected) at the New York Toy Fair 2015 back in February, and has continued to tantalize Marvel collectors with glimpses of Spider-Man’s most popular villain ever since.

But the time for teases is over, as the lethal symbiote has now been fully revealed: the Square-Enix Play Arts Kai Venom figure is now up for order!
